The cups are 2 inches high with a diameter of 2 ½ inches. They are made of hand blown glass with leaded content. They ring when tapped. The saucers are leaf shaped in clear green glass with gold veins painted on them. The cups are opaline glass, hand blown in the shape of a tulip with hand enameling for color...
A beautiful, tall, hand-painted, Bohemian glass pokal, made probably by Fritz Heckert or Theresienthal around 1900. The pokal is 18 inches (46 cm) tall and 6 1/2 inches (16,5 cm) wide. Except for a couple of negligible flea-bites (one on lid-bottom and another on rim-top - hidden when lid is in place, see last picture), typical of old glass items where two glass surfaces rub against each other, the pokal is in fine condition...
A very unusual Bohemian zwischengoldglass liquor glass, the bottom featuring an inset gilt and enameled design of a ladybug. The panel cutting along the beaker’s sides causes the design to be visually repeated. Small beakers such as these are normally decorated with a flower. This is the only example we’ve seen with an insect. The ladybug traditionally symbolizes good luck, so perhaps that's why it appears here.
Origin: Bohemia, ca. 1860...

Outstanding early South Jersey glass paperweight enclosing a frit design of an eagle with an American flag and the words "The American Fire Philadelphia A.D. 1810." I'm not sure if this refers to a fire department or a fire insurance company. The detailing, especially the feathery delicacy of the eagle's wings, is very nice. The glass is very good quality and the design achieves very nice magnification because of its placement low in the crown...
