A wonderful French first empire tole ware monteith, the sides hand painted with bouquets of colorful flowers against ivory-colored reserves flanked by gilt grapevine designs. The sides rise to handles cast in the form of swans’ heads--a feature very rarely seen. Verrieres are typically oval in shape, but this example is round. The bowl is unusually raised on four lion’s paw brass feet...

This is an antique Russian Brass Samovar set of a conical, paneled shape, with a gadrooned upper rim, a skirted based with decorated scroll feet, decorated S-scroll handle-pieces with wooden bars, brass steam vents, and ornate spigot, made in the Imperial workshops during the first quarter of the 19th century...

A William IV sterling silver vinaigrette made by Thomas Shaw of Birmingham, England 1833. Vinaigrettes were used in the 18th and 19th century as a personal hygiene accessory for the moneyed class and were used to carry pleasant oils and attars or vinegars which were absorbed into cloth pads under the pierced gilded grillwork and sniffed so as to cover up the smells of everyday life (when there were open sewers and waste and garbage were tossed from windows onto the sidewalks and streets below)...

Fine Genuine handmade Italian SILVER "ÉGOÏSTE" HOT CHOCOLATE POT with Original Wooden Handle, 19th Century. Stamped with Silver Hallmark 800 and "lavorazione a mano". Size: height 8 3/4" (22 cm.). Weight: 376 gr.gross weight. Good condition overall, one small dent.

Pewter plate, of variety apparently used for special occasions like Purim or Passover etc., 9 3/8" diameter, and filled with incised design consisting of Hebrew characters and an eight pointed star that reminds of the "hex" symbols of American folk art . On the reverse are three "angel/justice" symbols as often seen in these plates, and some writing above that in Roman letters, difficult to decipher. I see the word "FEIN" below one of those angel figures...

A Fine Georgian Sterling Silver Stuffing or Serving Spoon; Assayed in London, 1809 and by George Wintle. The length is 12.25" and it weighs 3.2 Troy ounces. Condition is excellent.

Sterling silver tastevin made in Paris in the early 19th century, the handle decorated with a little bunch of grapes and leaves. One half with convex and concave indentations and the other godrooned, a classic and functional design showing the colour of the wine. There are three hallmarks: to the exterior a male head in profile right for Paris, introduced 1819, and a worn insect mark (“bigorne” mark), the interior with the Paris guarantee mark of a Dionysian head in profile left...

A Georgian Silver Two Handle Oval Bowl, Hallmarked in Birmingham, 1827, by Robinson, Edkins and Aston. Dimensions; 13.5" x 10.5" x 2.5" high; weight, 17.0/15.5 standard/troy ounces. One small ding, overall in excellent condition.

George IV sterling silver and agate fruit set for 12 with 24 pieces. Made by Francis Higgins in London in 1833. This set comprises 12 forks and 12 knives. Tapering rectilinear half-fluted handles in mottled grey and brown agate. Sterling silver blades and 4-tined shanks. Regency Classicism for a special dinner party. Fully marked. Excellent condition.

An Old Sheffield Silver Plate Covered Entree and Warming Dish by Matthew Boulton, circa 1800. Insert inside to separate warm water from food. Dimensions; 12.75" long x 7.5" deep x 6" high, to handle. Weight; 4 pounds, 6 ounces. Excellent condition.

A pair of tall Sheffield plate candlesticks with conforming bobeche. On round bases with lines alternating with elongated ovals up the base, column and socket. This style was current around 1800. The wear or “bleed” where the copper shows is on the high places. They are 12 inches (30.5 cm) tall and 5 ½ inches (14 cm) diameter at the base. No marks. Probably English.

Condition: no breaks or repairs...

A nice pair of Georgian English sterling 5-5/8" sugar tongs with elegant bright cut decoration. These tongs were made by Thomas Wallis and Jonathan Hayne in London, England 1816-17; they weigh 24.5 grams, they have an S over WxM monogram, and they are in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use...

A George III Silver Meat Skewer, Hallmarked in London in 1812. Makers Marks MS ES, for Mary & Elizabeth Sumner, Mother and Daughter Silversmiths. Mary was the Widow of William Sumner. Length 12.5". Excellent condition.

This is a genuine English sterling silver William IV teapot fully hallmarked for London, England 1837. This table serving piece measures 11-1/4" from spout to handle and it has a wonderful bolt-mounted floral finial. It has fine leaf and flower repousse decoration throughout and it stands on four fancy feet. It has the maker's mark for the respected English silversmith firm of Edward, Edward Jr., John and W. Barnard and it weighs an impressive 810 grams...

A rare and charming FRENCH antique GILT BRONZE FAUN, depicted as a boy sitting. The Faun has a head garland decorated with grapes and vine leaves. Good condition. It comes with a cone-like black wooden stand. Total height with stand 14.5 cm (5 3/4"). Late 19th Century.
