A scarce and very impressive large white bronze / bell metal Cauldron, Northern Europe, Sweden or Denmark, c. mid 18th. century.

The exceptional cauldron were part of luxery interior of a kitchen of an important mansion / manor in the 18th. century and is with initials from the family. The cauldron is tanding three seperately cast legs and two Gothic style handles are attached, concenthric decoration and initials in relief as part of the casting.

An early type of Scandinavian bronze or bell-metal pan for open fire with three legs and a closed handle. Later crude owners initials and dating to 1806. This particular alloy and type dates to c. 1690-1720.

The pan with wonderful patina, extensive wear and numerous repairs from the time of use.

Very large bronze skillet or pan, dating to the late renaissance period in the fine gothic style. A round hollow handle to take a wooden pole. Legs shortened at time of use to make it suitable for a stove, instead of open fire.

The skillet was cast in the same alloy as the bronze medical mortars of the period, a sort of high tim content bronze or bell metal...

This is a rare and authentic 17th-century antique Russian bronze icon with a center panel finial from the triptych Deesis. It depicts The Savior enthroned, surrounded by the Mourning Virgins and St. John the Baptist in the upper tier. The lower part of the Icon has half-figures of St. Zossima, Sabbatius of Solovetskii monastery, and saint prelates Nicholas the Wonderworker and Leontius of Rostov.

Size and Condition: 9 inches wide, 5 1/4 inches tall, 6 1/4 inches deep. Some verdigris to the patina, the interior glass ink container liner has a small crack, and the inkwell lid does not fully close, though this can easily remedied with a competent repair. Still fine overall condition.

A finely detailed cast bronze jewel box, the cover decorated with a scene of Don Quixote astride his horse followed by his loyal Sancho Panza on his donkey. The end panels feature bas relief images of Cervantes flanked by cherubs, and the back panel a bas relief of Don Quixote wearing an armored helmet. Cherubs and dolphins decorate the front. An absolutely delightful bronze calling card tray, the center designed with a small frog atop a traditional baroque-style wave. The top edge of the dish has a wonderful scene of four frogs riding big-wheel bicycles along a road. They have quite good balance, as all have their arms crossed. The lead frog is even smoking a pipe. Road markers reading “2Km” and “3Km” mark their progress. This is a beautiful, large bronze cherub standing on a rouge marble base from the late l9th century that was made into a lamp. It measures 45" tall to the top of the light. The cherub itself is 20" tall and it stands on a marble base that is 10 1/2" tall. It is in beautiful condition, the cherub's arms are pinned where they should be and its a beautiful addition to any home. I can find no artist name or stamps on the piece, but it is a great 19th century sculpture.

Beautiful bronze statue by Eugene Marioton, French, 1854-1925, titled "Vainquer." The statue itself stands 27 1/2" tall, and it sits on a bronze and rogue marble pedestal that measures 44" tall, making the complete set just under 6" tall. The statue is inscribed Eug. Marioton, and Siot-Decauville is the French foundry. There is some minor pitting on the bottom by the signature, but none at all on the statue body or pedestal This beautiful statue and pedestal is being sold as a set only.

A lovely European bronze Sun dial, carved in a fine renaissance style and dated 1635, but Victorian, English manifacture of the late 19th. century.

The sun dial very elaborate with engraved birds on either side of a Griffin center shade, with a brass spike, othervise in bronze. Inscribed with Roman numbers and dated 1635. Finely patinated in red and dark bronze and in perfect condition.
