Large 19th Century Scandinavian pudding or butter box hand caved with intricate foliage in deep relief. The lid is held in position by two upstanding wings and a carved wooden pin inserts on one side to further secure the lid. In excellent condition it measures 12 inches high an 9.75" diameter.
Beautifully executed hand-carved wall bracket featuring a horse's head with two glass eyes. Circa 1890, European, possibly Black Forest, it is large measuring 16.5" high, 13.25 " wide, 8.75" deep
From our European Collection, a very elegant late 19th / early 20th century bronze lamp, probably French or English, featuring a well-cast swan atop a lumbering turtle. This is the second of two fine lamps we recently acquired from the estate of a former New York based antique dealer. Exceptional Sheraton Tea Chest in satinwood banded in rosewood and with ebony and boxwood stringing: having a rectangular hinged lid with silverplated pull opening to an interior with two fitted tea caddies with oval lids and similar inlaid decoration. English, circa 1790.

19th century tortoise shell box on 4 wooden bun feet.

A very interesting carved and gilded wood panel, found here in Southern California, origin unknown. There are remaining traces of gilding and to a lesser extent, possibly polychrome paint. I have found no writing/labels, and frustratingly, there is no further information traveling with it. The piece measures 15" by 32". I am wondering if it might be of American origin, although in my mind I think it could be French. The wood seems to be pine...

A very rare and superb Octagon British Wooden TEA CADDY WITH TORTOISE SHELL AND MOTHER OF PEARL inlays, ca. 1800.
The top knob for opening and the 4 small feet are made of bone. The tea caddy comes with the original key and the mechanism works well.

An antique Japanese Okidoko (low display stand) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. Used in a Tokonoma as a portable display stand atop which decorations like scrolls were hung or flower arrangements were displayed. Rare, circa 1860, English walnut tea caddy featuring nice clean lines with its only decoration being the word “TEA” inlaid in sterling silver. The lid is hinged and the interior features two separate rectangular compartments with removable wooden lids for storage. In very good antique condition with expected signs of use with some light scratches, a minor nick to the walnut finish, and a small piece of silver missing at the food of the “T”. An absolutely gorgeous hand carved French casket with fruitwood, rosewood, and satinwood marquetry. Lovely petite hand painted curio cabinet with glass door with bronze trim and "J" shaped side glass, also with bronze mounts. It measures 54" tall x 26" wide x 15" deep. It is beautifully hand painted with a musical and flower motif.
Circa English 1870, a rare faux burl walnut book slide featuring a pair of gilt brass gothic revival style mounts enclosing an oval Sevres hand painted porcelain plaque of a woman. The faux painted burl wood and is quite exceptional in detail, depth and richness of color. Note: one brad missing in a lower right corner (see 2nd photo). In very good antique condition, it measures 6.25 inches high, 5.75” deep, and 13” long. Extends up to 22.5” long.
