It consists of tiny inlaid exotic wood tesserae in geometric designs. This 4-3/8 x 4-1/4" and 1-3/4" high example has a repeating floral pattern on the top, a Greek key design on the sides and a bird's eye maple ground. #699 Antique Scottish Penwork Tea Chest in Maple with all over decoration of leaves and acorns and a central paterae on the stepped lid of a mother with two children. Inside are two removable lidded tea caddies with penwork leaf and grape decoration and the underside of the lid has a faux coral design.

Very Rare Set of Paint Decorated Glass Tea Caddies and a Sugarbowl, rectangular with sloped shoulders, the sugarbowl surmounted by a flower form glass urn. I am offering this pretty much as an antique collectable frame (rabbet 15" by 11 1/2", about 17" by 13 1/2" if you were inclined to try to remove what looks like an inner frame). It probably dates to about 1880. For many years it has housed a chromolithograph of sailing craft, "Coming Into Port", by the American luminist marine artist George Curtis (1826-1881). The chromo is on canvas, bearing the stamp of publishers Colton, Zahm & Roberts of New York...

A fine old antique gold frame of the 19th century, measuring 27" by 34" by 3" depth, the inner rabbet 18 1/2" by 25 1/2". This frame certainly at one time held a fine painting; there is some hint of there having been a placard. Weight is an impressive 20 pounds; the wood used I believe is heavy oak. There is much evidence of age, moderate wear; but it is in keeping with the age and antiquity of the frame. Currently there is a modern print of a Picasso work inserted into the opening.
