A beautiful and elegant pair of coach or carriage lamps, with the original oil burners. The lamps are fashioned of brass and copper, and retain all the original features in superb condition, including the glass, caps, and holders. Measuring slightly over 16 inches in length, and 7 inches wide, the lamps could be used indoors or out, as is, stunning your guests with the warm oil flame. Alternatively, they could be electrified for either indoor or outdoor use.

If you are tired of the mundane, normal, and ho-hum, you must consider this antique tin wall sconce. I was gob smacked when I first saw it. It is intricately stamped with sun flowers, fruits, and foliage, and it is large. In the center is a concave recession which may have been for its reflector. Late 19th century brass whale oil lamp featuring a very unusual footed base with a delicately decorated edge. Has a chain for which to add a wick trimmer, snuffer, or other accoutrement. A wonderful piece for the collector, it is very good condition. Measures 19" high and 6.5 " square at the base.

When we say that these candelabra are "le fin de siecle" we are referring to more than their late 19th century manufacture. They are superb example of Baroque style lighting which befits a place begging for a fine appointment. Why are we using French to describe these Italian cast brass masterpieces which must surely be one of a kind?

The Lamp is composed of three separately cast bronze elements, joined together by pegs and soldered at the back. The backplate is decorated in openwork with scrollwork motifs adorned with a notched pattern. Shamash flanked by a pair of birds, the top surmounted by a suspension ring with a fleur-de-lis finial...

One(1) French Ormolu gilded bronze Candelabra with four(4) lights, 21 1/2" high, 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" wide-maximum measurement, each have matching separate removable original bobesche, supporting by main reed column on three(3) animal paws on the base. Some gilding is worn in the middle of column area. No damage or restoration.

A pair of low candelabra in the Louis XV style with rococo lines and flowers. They were probably gilt originally but now have a gilt like patination. 10 inches (25.5 cm) tall and 12 inches (30.5 cm) across the arms. French 19th century.

Condition: very good with the newer patination. One candle cup held in place with a newer screw.

French Rococo and Louis XV features inform the design of these candelabra which sit on a a footed sinuous base with ornate embellishments from which rise intertwining stems whose sinusoidal arms support separately 4 sockets and bobeches. The finish is gold patination of which there is modest loss. The base is constructed of 3 pieces. Other than the previously noted finish losses, the candelabra are in very good condition. An exceptional gilt bronze candelabra in the rococo fashion, with 5 arms plus apex stem providing 6 lights. The detail is mesmerizing especially as one realizes that each candelabrum was cast in multiple parts and individually fastened to the main body. Antique Late 19th-century beautiful pair of silver plated, Polish Jewish Sabbath candlesticks made by famous maker "FRAGET in WARSAW." Measuring 10" high, with square bases measuring just over 4", with scalloped corners, this pair of 19th century Russian candlesticks have robust turnings and are cast in two pieces, the turned stem visible from the bottom. Very heavy, weighing 7 pounds, they retain a nice soft patina, with verdigris visible on the bases. There is some slight variation in the turnings of this pair, and the lip of one of the sticks is slightly thicker than the other, visible in photos...

This lamp is named because of its presence on a table in a photograph taken on the occasion of President Coodide taking the oath of office. This was at his grandfather's farm, after Present Harding's sudden death.
