This is a very nice Shaker wheel walker with nice surface wear on the working end. 7 1/2" and is circa 1840 (. The finger is used to begin or lengthen the turn of the spinning wheel. A person holds the rounded end, and the lip on the other end rests on a spoke in the great wheel. Apply pressure upward or downward to begin the wheel to spin - or to accelerate an already spinning wheel - then slip it back into your apron and get spinning.) Courtesy Clyde M.

Incredibly beautiful original  Vernis Martin French cabinet from the late 1800s. It has wonderful original romantic scenes adorned with brass mounts.  There are two side doors with serpentine glass, and the center glass is convex.  All glass is original, as is everything else.  It measures 74″ tall x 39″ wide x 19″ deep.  It is very good condition, commensurate with its age

Important pair of French Miniature Glass Candlesticks Eighteenth Century/early 19th century measuring 5 1/2 inches tall with a beautiful fluted design.

An exceptional 19th century European carved walnut armchair with original needlepoint upholstery and nail head trim. Seat features a scene with a wolfhound guarding a sheep. Back is covered in orange velvet which is torn at one corner (see pix). The scene on the chair back also has some damage to the man's face which can be repaired. (see pix). There a spots of minor age related wear to upholstery, but really in very good antique condition. The chair is solid and sturdy...

DESCRIPTION: A handsome Victorian era (c. 1890) copper coal scuttle with brass handle and hinges, having a built-in copper “pocket” on the top to hold a shovel scoop. These coal scuttles are practical today for removing ashes from your fireplace, and making a warm “hearth and home” statement. This one shows use with scattered small dents and a base repair. Plume & Atwood manufactured this delightful glass oil lamp c. 1870 possibly a little later. It consists of a shaped white terraced base supporting a brass stem which in turn supports the amethyst font embossed with flowers and scrolling stems. The burner assembly is brass. The lamp comes with a hurricane chimney with crimped top. The wick, I discovered late, is in the font. The lamp proper is about 11". The condition appears to be excellent though the burner has some minor warping...

This is an original Antique (Pre-1900 / 1900) Gadget (Sword) Cane, with a Carved Horse Head Handle made from Stag Angler, with a long ( 3 1/2 inches) carved bone collar that displays a superb natural old patina, and a wooden scabbard/shaft that measures 30 inches. From our European Collection, a very large and imposing set of Renaissance Revival Armchairs, 19th century. These are made of either mahogany or walnut, with carved lion head motifs on the armrests, carved claw feet, and carved griffon-like motifs on the upper back. It's hard to appreciate the scale of these chairs as we have nothing else in the background for size comparison, but they are VERY LARGE....of almost throne-chair-like dimensions, standing over 6 feet tall, and they make for a drama...

Neo-Classical period Continental Biedermeier leather top Writing table with two(2) drawers, circa 1830, possibly Austrian, 28" high, 38" wide, 20" deep, beautiful Walnut veneer side and drawer front, secondary wood is Oak inside dovetailed drawers, supported by simple solid Walnut square tapered legs. New green natural leather top, and some veneer cracks on the corners.

Beautiful little antique French hinged box with blue enameling and gold gilt over bronze. Featuring a miniature portrait that is surrounded by ornate reticulation which in turn is accented with glass faux rubies and faux lapis lazuli. The blue enamel ground in the portrait matches the darker blue surround trim. Velvet lined, this makes a perfect little box to protect that special piece of jewelry. Measures 3 3/8" across, 2 3/4" deep, and 1 inch high. Dates circa 1880.
