Rare, circa 1860, English walnut tea caddy featuring nice clean lines with its only decoration being the word “TEA” inlaid in sterling silver. The lid is hinged and the interior features two separate rectangular compartments with removable wooden lids for storage. In very good antique condition with expected signs of use with some light scratches, a minor nick to the walnut finish, and a small piece of silver missing at the food of the “T”. This is a beautiful, unusual walnut and burl Gentleman's dresser made by Nelson, Matter & Company from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They were in business from 1870 to 1899. The whole piece measures 6'1" tall x 4' wide x 21" deep. The full length beveled mirror stands on the left side, and on the right is a four drawer dresser including a hidden top drawer and three other drawers. The top of the dresser is lovely marble. It has a partial tag still attached with the maker's name...

An American New England Federal Cherry Candle Stand with a Shaped Top and Spider Legs. Dimensions; top 21.5" x 16.25" x 27" high. Circa 1800-1820. There is an old repair on the top (photo 5) but otherwise in excellent condition for a period piece.

Small table snuff box made of lacquered papier-maché, the glass lid with reverse engraved and painted decoration. Inside is a shell and two strands of hair. There is no lock; the snuff box was intended not to be carried around in a pocket, but to be placed on a shelf or a table where it displayed well. Probably Scandinavian, made around 1800 or earlier, unusual. Diameter 2" / 5 cm, height ¾ "/ 2 cm. Condition: the mirror glass cracked, wear consistent with age (cf pics).
From our European Collection, a very fine Napoleon III gilt bronze mounted lacquer side cabinet, late 19th century. Elegantly constructed with black lacquered wood, gilded bronze adornments along the top, side, and bottom friezes, and a wonderful central bronze plaque of frolicking cherubs, all surmounted by a veined off-white marble top that appears to be original. Comes with original functioning key.

Pair French 18th century Louise XV pier mirror, gilt and patinated Polychrome pale green painted on wood, 40" high, 15" wide, 1 1/2" deep, with carved low relief gold fluted decorated frame on top. Mirror plate is one(1) piece with blackened spots(picture shows horizontal line near the bottom area which is reflection of the room background), and backing is original wooden boards with square steel nails. There are some gesso chips off from the original finish...

Beautiful ladies chair in a variation of the Rosalie pattern by Belter. Henry Belter became fameous for taking layers of wood, mostly rosewood, and laminating them so that they could bend and form a wonderful shape that showed off the wood so beautifully.
