A fine little vase with incredible vivid colours, trompetshaped with footring. Tagged with black ink 'Cazhaldma' in the bottom, possible a finding place.

Condition: Choice, few minor nicks to the rim.

This spectacular bowl has the body decorated with a black-on-cream resist painted pattern. The inside is beautifully decorated with a resist and red design.

This is an extremely rare jade picture-plaque that dates to the Late Classic Period around 700 AD. In my 40 years of collecting, I have never seen one for sale. These plaques all belong to one school of carving known as Nebaj-type plaques because the first specimens to be found in situ in the Mayan area come from Cache 14, Mound 2, at Nebaj, Guatemala. All are made of special varieties of jades of Class 3. This type of jade tends to decompose, as in this specimen, which lends to its authenticity...

A beautiful and scarce larger pottery jar from the Chancay culture, globular shape with applied handles in both sides and tiny animals on both sides as well. The pottery greyish white with black line decoration.

Huge Rare Pre Columbian Near life size Nayarit half face sculpture fragment. Fantastic piece perfectly broken showing half of a warriors geometric painted face in red and white with extensive black dendrite deposits. The mask made of a polychromed stucco burnished finish. This is a very unusual artifact. It is bone that has been covered with 22K hammered gold. It is 8" long. It is either a pectoral or perhaps a nose ornament. The bone is broken near the center, but is completely covered by the gold. It is from La Tolita, Ecuador C500BC-500AD. This piece was found with a gold death mask in a tomb. It was found lying next to the mask and was part of the mask. The two were separated. The mask sold for $75,000. It is from the Ken Klassen collection, Bogota.
