This beautiful green jasper Heart Scarab is 1/2" (13 mm) long and dates to ~900 BC. Inscribed Heart Scarabs were placed over a mummy’s heart to keep it from revealing any sin during its ‘Weighing of the Heart.’ Smaller, uninscribed Heart Scarabs, like this one, were introduced ~1000 BC. Though some chisels are made as late as Daggertime just before the bronzeage, this unpolished attractive chisel was likely made during the Singlegrave period, 2800-2400 BC.

A stunning terracotta figure of Horse and Rider, Parthian Empire, 1st-3rd. cent. AD.

The tall bearded figure emerging from the body of the horse, wearing folded cap, the horse with applied disc eyes, traces of decoration. Their bodies is blending into a single, triangular form, with the head and upper body of the man directly behind the horse’s head. Finely detailed features of a mature Parthian horseman, probably nobility.

A choice smaller iron lock with a nice large iron key, perhaps from a door, South-German, early 17th. century.

A lock with flattened iron carved as stylized animals! Wonderful antique in a nice uncorroded condition with a fine collection patina. Nice tight locking mecanism! Still Useable for a door today.

Size: 16 cm. long. The key measure 10 cm. in length.

A very attractive unpolished Danish neolithic axe of the Single Grave slender type, dating c. 2800-2400 BC.

Very nicely knapping details on the sides and several old collection tags! The axe has finding date in black ink given as 4. september 1924, found in 'Hestehave'.

Interesting huge seal from the Oberländer collection. It was described as unidentified and probably ceramic, but to us it looks like Limestone, but we're not certain. At first glance it looks like a Pre-Columbian seal, but details doesn't compute and there were no Pre-Columbian seals in the collection, so it could be from Mesopotamia / Western Asia, we're not certain.

It's sold as guaranteed ancient and 800+ years old.
