A super lot of three ancient tanged Bronze daggers from Ancient Near East. Types of the 3rd.-2nd. mill. BC.

The lot consist of:
1) A choice and beautiful dagger, c. 26 cm, long with high shoulders and a prominent central midrib, 2nd. mill. BC. On this dagger you can see where the handle of bone or wood once was - very interesting!
2) A nice smaller dagger with rounded shoulders, 3rd. millenium BC, 17,8 cm. long.
3) A 23,1 cm...

Solid cast, the bronze cobra with flaring hood and bulging eyes, curved along the back of the hood, its head crowned by a solar disk, the body once inlaid, with a tenon at the base. 5 1/4 inches high including the tenon. Suspension loop on back of head. V.G. Collection Brussels, 1975.

A very attractive and rare box-lock with large engraved plate, Austria or Hungary (similar seen in Forchenstein castle?), late renaissance / early baroque ca. 1600-1620.

Exceptional quality workmanship with a finely engraved box and carved decorations in the openwork of stylized birds.

Size: 23,4 cm. long and 12 cm. tall.

Condition: Superb! A very tight lock of great uncorroded metal with a finely maintained greyish and black patina...

Group Lot of Roman Bronze Fragments, great for a beginning collector or someone interested in how ancient bronze patinas

A nice wearable solid silver ring with monogram, Byzantine Empire, c. 700-900 AD.

A lovely lot of handpicked bronze stamp seals with fine caligraphy, Ottoman / Syrian?, c. 15th.-18th. cent. AD.

The lot incl. a couple of rare larger seals of fine style as well as early personal seals with greek letters!

Condition: Choice, fine patinas, one seal bend and one with handle lost.

A lovely ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1800 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 1/2” long (13 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and to help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup. This scarab depicts Goddess Hathor

This ushabti figurine is depicted as a worker holding two hoes for work in the fields of Osiris in the afterlife.

He is wearing a tripartite wig which falls down between the shoulders...

With animals carved into the bezels of the early rings.

A nicely shaped glass ewer from ancient Rome. The piece was made with sheets of molten glass placed one on top of each other. This process was used at an early period in Rome. Age: First century. Bought at antique shop on Ponte Vecchio in Florence Italy 25 years ago. Size: H. 10.5cm W. 9cm

Interesting small bronze pendant seal with a hing at the top, depicting a fine naturalistic Rabbit or Hare, Roman, 1st.-3rd. cent AD.
