This is a very special offering of a small bronze axe from ancient Iran (circa 1200-1500 BC). It has minor losses to the horizontal blade and shows some pitting. These small axes seem to be a good bit more rare than their larger counterparts. This came as part of a large private collection and as a result I can offer it at much less than what these pieces usually sell for. I doubt that this one will be here for very long. It weighs 108 grams and measures just 9 cm in length.

Extremely rare early type of pottery Oil lamp, Roman, 1st. century AD.

The lamp is of the Loeschcke Type IV and displays a scene from the the Education of Achilles by Chiron.

An awesome motif and an important lamp for the historically interested collector or scholar.

Size: 10,7 cm.

Condition: Choice for the rare type, looks completely intact, but it's uncleaned in places, which could hide a hairline, we're not certain, and it would be a shame to clea...

One of the largest carved neolithic objects known and very early! Superb smooth lines and designed slightly curving with a flattened base. Carved in a granite stone, very heavy.

A finely made bronze Phalera or medallion, Roman, 1st.-3rd. century AD.

The medallion depicts the head of a bridled horse and was likely military related as something you would wear in the legions.

A very large unguentarium made of slightly green clear glass Roman, Eastern Mediterranean, 2nd - 3rd century AD.

The bottle of impressive height and with broad base and tappering neck, sound glass.

Size: c. 17,5 cm. tall and 8,7 cm. in diameter at the base!

Condition: Extremely fine, sound almost clear glass vessel with beautiful silverish and rainbow irridescence and deposits inside.

A really nice stone seal pendant with a dramatic engraving, Neo-Babylonian-Achaemenid period, c. 8th.-5th. century BC.

Interesting provincial rendering of the famous depictions of the 1st. millenium in the near east, of the great king spearing a Lion. In this case the lion is rather small compared to the king, who is standing in a long dress, trusting the spear with both hands. Probably early Achaemenid, costal Western Mesopotamia.
