Rare terracotta group with a rat and two mice seen side by side gnawing on the bait of a mousetrap.
According to Pedrizet perhaps an ex-voto offered by a person whose house or granary was infested with mice and rats.

Handle-ornament decorated in relief with a shepherd reclining on an acanthus, playing double-pipes. A lyre hangs from the tree which is shading him, on the left a sheep that looks on.
Triangular handle ornament from a mold made pottery lamp. Broneer type XXI (very rare with figural decoration). Light brown clay, covered with a brown slip. Ink inscribed back: 1278, and label underneath 1278.

Terracotta figure of Harpokrates with the attributes of Herakles, lion skin and knobby club, in the crook of his left arm.
Harpokrates is depicted with the sidelock of a child. The head is expertly modeled with wide, heavy-lidded eyes, a broad nose, and fleshy lips.
Harpokrates wears the Egyptian headdress with stripes and the threefold Atef-crown.
The youthful god is shown nude with the right forefinger close to the lips...

A splendid large steatite scarab from the New Kingdom, 16th. century BC- 11th. century BC.

The scarab is carved with a vase (?) flanked by a pair of hieroglyphs for the Cobra / Uraeus and further down the scarab beetle finely outlined in between hieroglyphs. The scarab is also finely carved on the back and with tiny details of body, head and legs. Note also the cylindrical finials for the horisontical drill.

The cylinder seal is carved in fine white-beige stone, and can be dated to Mesopotamia, Late Jemdet Nasr period, c. 3000-2900 BC. (Collon, period 1B).

The impressive seal is carved with 4 horned animals in very deep relief all the way around the thick cylinder.

Size: 30 mm. tall and 24 mm. wide.

Condition: Very fine, intact with some wear and corrosion and quite attractive.

A good style seal carved slightly concave in a hemaetite stone, first Babylonian dynasty, (Amorite), 1894–1595 BC.

A bearded God with scimitar, stands before Shamash, with another lesser deity behind raising her hands in supplication; A sun disc set in a crescent in the fields as a symbol of the gods of the Moon and Sun.
