This is a lovely ancient Egyptian Scarab, 750-700 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 3/8” long (10 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

An above average large/thick Ushabti, Third Intermediate Period, 21/22th dynasty (ca 1085-713BC)

A blue-green faience shabti, wearing the headband and two hoes. Inscribed shabti with clear hieroglyphs at the lower front. Details are added in black.

Size: 105 mm. tall and comes with it's old wooden base, 16,6 cm. total.

Condition: Choice with intact painted details and nice patina. Much uncleaned deposits.

The three pendants attached with smaller ancient rings to a larger ring, also ancient.

Rare bronze and iron key, European, renaissance, c. 15th.-16th. century.

Very interesting bronze bow of a Gothic design and the stem and bit made of iron. Probably a cupboard key.

A really nice set of Danish Neolithic weapons, incl. a huge lancet dagger and a pophyre battle-axe, mid-late 3rd. mill. BC.

Both pieces are housed together in a costum oak box with beige skin inside.

The dagger really large and and of the finest parallel knapping of the period. Unfortunately, an almost invisible hairline repair and small loss to the tip - 25,3 cm. long!

The battle axe made in a fine pophyre stone with nice inclusions...

An large and exceptional bronze oil lamp with handle in shape of a leaf and pyramid-shaped, pierced lid. Byzantine, 5th - 6th century A.D.

The lamp is finely engraved and well built. A substantial and very elegant bronze lap with beautifully patinated surfaces. Interestingly, an openwork lid was chosen for it in antiquity, perhaps since it became to hot with a closed tight lid, due to the large size and construction.
