The even-toned stone is somewhat translucent and carves on both sides with a flower basket design. It is reticulated with rather simple carving and incising to produce a dense and almost abstract design. The condition is very good with no chips or breaks. There is a natural fissure occurring in the top of the basket in the center of the stone.

1800s

Carved on one side is an old gnarled pine tree growing out of a rocky outcrop. The vase is of a flattened ovoid shape with a rectangular foot that is hollowed to the base. The stone has a white jade-like quality, but is probably a type of serpentine. The tree is carved in high relief with some under-carving, giving it a feeling of being carved almost in the round. The stone is flecked with silvery inclusions and very light brownish veining in a few places...

Ca. early 1900s

This horse is carved in a very energetic pose with open mouth and neck twisted back over the left shoulder. The stone is a golden-brown tiger eye displaying the characteristic chatoyancy and having a few small whitish opal-like areas. The piece is well-carved overall with clear facial features and a very active pose with a high and even polish overall...

A Very Fine Chinese Grey Mottled White Jade Ruyi Sceptre: China, 19th 18th –early 19th century This grey white nephrite jade Ruyi Sceptre finely carved and well polished, it skillfully worked in high relief with a pierced and carved in the form of an old and curved plum stem with its flowers and Lingzhi fungus, a monkey playing on the plum branches, russet dark grey tinges on some areas. It is in very fine condition without any damages, and measures 14cm x 4.7cm w.

Description:

A Houtien jade rabbit was well rendered in simple form.
In characteristics of early periods, the jade pebble was in greasy feel and was suffused with brownish incursions in portions.
Stone crackles were also resulted due to age.
An original drilling hole was in the middle of the body on the side.
It was used for hanging.
On one side beside the hole, there was a shallow drilling scar left for unknown reason...

A nephrite Jian Ge(an accessory between the sword blade and the handle)decorated with Chi Longs. I am not sure about the date of this, but believe that it should be Qing or earlier. It looks like it was burned for some reason, caused some dark area on it. There are a couple of chips on it too, please refer to the photos for the details of condition. Length: 2"; Height:1".

Chinese agate girdle clasp, also called "sui" in Chinese. I am uncertain about the date of it, but do believe that it should be from Qing Dynasty or earlier. It is in good condition with russet streaks. 2-3/8" X 1-1/8" X 1/2".

A very finely carved oval-shaped white jade falconer's plaque depicting a five-clawed dragon amongst scrolling foliage. This item was probably made in China in the 18th Century during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795). A nicely carved Chinese nephrite pendant in a "Pixiu" shape. The nephrite is of very nice quality. There are some russet and dark intrusions mainly on one side of the pendant, this hints that the original material could be part of a jade pebble. We date the pendant to be early 20th century. Lovely Chinese jade rectangular plaque, well-carved with a flying dragon chasing his flaming jewel, with a pierced hole for hanging, the reverse reads "Xiang Long Cheng Chang" in a rectangular cartouche, the color is a pale celadon tan with a russet trace, size: 2.5" High

Chinese miniature quartz sculpture of a a woman with an attendant from the 19th century. The woman is robed and holding a flowering branch in her right hand, a basket in her left. The figure to her right is kneeling, with agate base. It measures 2" long, 1.25" deep, 2.5" tall.

This white jade is of an even pale celadon-white tone with a few small veins of light russet...

Ca. 1800s

This jade pendant is well-carved with a design of peony flowers and leaves in low relief. The carving extends to the back, though simpler and flatter. It is a deep green with areas of lighter mottling, but when held to the light, it shows a brilliant translucent apple-green. It has an old probably 14k gold jump ring for attachment.
