A long-necked original bronze vase with a rounded body. The top of the slender neck has a ring midway and swells out at the mouth in the shape of a garlic bulb, giving the vase its special name. It has a nice aging patina. It can be cleaned but I wouldn't recommend it.

A rare and very finely caste heavy bronze (copper tin alloy) incense burner in the form of a playful crouching 'lion'. This item was made in Ming dynasty China probably during the 16th or early 17th Century. Condition: the cover is missing; otherwise very good. A small Chinese brass handwarmer with pierced lid and carrying handle. The lid has many vent holes, some of which are shaped like stars. and these organize the round holes into what looks like many plum blossoms. The warmer measures 3 1/4' high (5 1/2" high with handle up) x 5" in diameter, and dates to the late 19th Century. There is a Chinese character chiseled on the base which translate to "to set on fire"...

Sensuous and serene, this covered pewter jar is quiet, subtle, and sophisticated with it sparse plant motif which climbs up the wall onto the lid. The patina on a supple orange peel skin evokes soft tones of solitude. The underside is marked with Chinese symbols. Excellent condition in spite of tarnish. Dimension: 2 7/8"

Opium box of rounded rectangular shape, decorated with an embossed design all over its body representing a noble man in front of a house in the company of two women, a floral decor, Chinese characters and a geometric design. The lid itself is decorated with an embossed feminine figure (a dancer) surmounted by a bat. The box is made of copper with a fine age patina. China, end of 19th century. Height: 5.6 cm.
