A Chinese, blue and white glazed, inkstone decorated with lion-dogs, playing with a brocaded ball. A nicely painted piece for the Scholar's desk, and dating to the late Ming dynasty; C16th to early C17th. Traces of kiln grit are attached to the inner foot, and the base bears an apocryphal four-character Zhengde reign mark. Diameter, 10.7 cm Condition; good, with age relate wear.

A large and impressive Chinese flambe-glazed porcelain moon flask, with garlic neck and ruyi head handles, covered in a thick semi translucent red and light blue flambe glaze which finishes neatly at the foot.
