A very rare early Ming 15th century Chenghua blue and white bowl, rounded side with flared rim, straight foot and glazed base, bowl outer wall decorated with fine under glaze blue of deer and heron motif, inner center also with a heron motif.
Bowl is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, porcelain good ping sound with finger tip, nice blue tone color motif.
Size: 15cm diameter.

Jar of globular form with a short cylindrical lipped neck and two horizontal lugs on the shoulder. The body is divided into five panels by vertical lines of applied studs, alternate panels being decorated in underglaze cobalt - blue with a chrysanthemum spray and alternate with a lingzhi fungus motive. The deep "U"-shaped body painted to the exterior with plump feathery tailed godfish swimming amongst wafes in sgraffiato technique. Underglaze blue Qianlong Mark, Republican Period. Imperial Quality. Diameter : 8,1 cm. H : 7,4 cm. Condition : One cup in perfect condition. The other cup with one extremely fine hairline crack to the rim which is not visible with the naked eye.
