A Rose mandarin /Canton Famille rose ecuelle, soup bowl and cover, with double strapped handles and gilt finial, c 1820-40. Height: 4" / 10 cm, diam. of cover: 6 1/4" / 16 cm. Condition: a restoration above each handle, hairlines, some rubbing to the gilding and rim frits to the lid (cf pics).

Chinese large blue and white dish, first part of the 18th century. The same border of bamboo, vines and grapes was found on many items in the cargo of Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg that went down in 1745. Diameter "10½/ 27 cm. Condition: restored rim chips as seen on photos and a hairline.

Iron red and gilt decoration of "Lange Lijzen" - long Lizas - a nickname for the slim ladies often found on the porcelain of the time. Diameter of saucer “4½/11,5 cm and of cup ”2¾/7 cm. Chinese Export Rose Mandarin low relief and open design Porcelain Brush Pot, 4 1/2" high, 2 1/2" diameter, Ca. 1830, with molded and low relief design of Chinese Scholars in the garden scene, raised design in overglaze enamel decoration. Glaze star crack on the bottom and two(2) stains on unglazed bottom rim. Some kiln bubbles popped on the gilded top rim which is somewhat worn from the usage.

A Northern Sung or earlier green glaze celadon tea bowl, some comb pattern. It is in good condition no damage, no crack, no chip, no restoration except glaze corossion by sea water, now very sandpapery after one thousand years in the sea bed.

Painted - clobbered - probably in Holland for the European market, in iron red, green, pink, black and gilt over the original under-glaze blue decoration.
