This is a very nice guan type crackle celadon form the Late Song Dynasty or Yuan Dynasty
Chinese green glazed noodle making bowl, 5" high-maximum height, 8" diameter-top, green glazed, early part of 1900's. This is the bowl making home made noodle in the kitchen. Push the dough into the holes, and become instant noodle coming out of the holes. Incised Chinese Character mark on the bottom "Great". No major damages, there are some wear and tear from the use in the kitchen for many years.
There are traces of an very attractive formerly gilt decoration and connoisseurs will agree that exactly this is it which makes this bowl ( Temmoku ) to an great rarity. Even in Museum collections there are almost no references for such pieces.

DESCRIPTION: An attractive antique Chinese stoneware jar with wide body and outward turning rim, hand crafted with a pleasing celadon glaze over a raised border of circular designs. In original firing condition and dating from the early 20th C. Though the origin is Chinese, this crock would lend a nice touch of "country" in a cottage or farmhouse setting. A creamwhite white glazed stoneware yuhuchunping dated to the Yuan Dyansty. It stands on a short recess foot rim with a pear shape body everting upward with a narrow neck and towards an everting mouth rim.

The height of the yuhuchunping is 20.5cm and the width at the widest point is 15cm.
