DESCRIPTION: A Qing dynasty bamboo pipe, possibly used for either opium or tobacco, with a bulbous body crafted from a large segment of giant bamboo. Mounted onto this segment are heavy brass fittings, one for the tubular tobacco bowl with its long brass shaft descending into the body. The other brass tube holds the long, bent bamboo stem that is used to draw the smoke out. Very good condition with a nice patina. DIMENSIONS: 16” high assembled (40.5 cm)...

Tibetan yak butter tea “po cha” or barley beer “chang” bowl carved from burlwood, possibly Rhododendron circa 50 to 100 years old. D:11.8cm/4.6in and H: 5cm/1.9in, there is one worn chip on the edge. A charming old piece- difficult to find these days. This was not turned on a lathe, but entirely carved by hand.

Antique Chinese small, carved boxwood container in the form of a lotus pod. A millet-like seeding plant entwines the lotus pod, it's elegant stalks acting as handles on the side and lid of the container.

A Chinese ruyi scepter carved from beautiful zitan wood, a symbol of good fortune used in Buddhist ceremonies. "Ruyi" directly translates into "as you wish". It has been ornately carved with lingzhi mushrooms on the head and running down the curved handle, which ends in a gnarled root form. High quality carve work. Beautiful distinctive grain of zitan wood.

A rare large Chinese carved wooden figure of a Goldfish. The fish is covered with gold lacquer over a brown lacquer base. It has bulging black and white glass eyes, fins, scales, and a large fan shaped tail. The underside shows the brown lacquer base coat. The fish measures about 15" long x 6" wide at the broadest point of the tail, and it dates to the early 20th Century...
