Small mask representing the face of a "lakhe", an celestial entity which protects humans and households against evil spirits. Wood, with beautiful dark patina. Himalayan Region, 18th century. Height: 5 1/4" (13,5 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old restoration at the back of the right eye, erosion due to age, otherwise very good condition. A rare piece in this size.

Architectural element (part of a beam, or a corner), nicely carved in relief and representing Garuda, the vehicle of Hindu god Vishnu, half-bird, half-man, in his anthropomorphic appearance. Heavy wood (probably from the Southern part of Nepal), dark patina. Nepal, 19th century or earlier. Height: 13" (34 cm); The piece is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. A few chips, otherwise very good condition.

Very rare and early piece, nicely cast, finely engraved and with a good patina. The Krishna figure has two silver bracelets on each arm. H. 24 cm. Condition: left index finger restored. This Buddhist figure was cast in bronze and sewn into a leather case. It would have been carried in a pocket or worn hanging about the neck by the leather thong...a personal amulet or talisman meant for protection. Good condition, 4 the case in 4 inches high and 3 inches across at the widest point.

An extremely rare set of bronze figures depicting Krishna and his wife Radha. Very well proportioned and extremely finely engraved. Made in Orissa, India in the 17th or 18th century. Krishna is 22 cm high, Radha is 16,5 cm high. A complete set of Krishna and Radha is very hard to find. This set came from a Belgian private collection. Indian black schist carving of dancing Ganesha, the elephant headed god (the Remover of Obstacles) stands with his own broken tusk in one hand, and ax in the other, trunk is sampling sweets in upper left hand, just below his lower right hand is his mouse vehicle, white and vermilion traces, beautiful modeling of body, from Uttar Pradesh, 15th century. Rare 17th Century Tibetan Chakrasamvara Thangka with numerous inscriptions on the back. There is a tape repair on the center of the back. 26 x 19.5 inches, 66 x 50 cm.

Ornate antique Nepalese Buddhist ritual chalice with skull cup, copper and mixed metal repouse, inside of skull lined with hammered silver, lid with elaborate metal work, inlaid coral and turquoise and a vajra finial, base with coral inlay and copper repouse with silver skulls. Size: 13 3/4" high x 7 1/2" wide x 7" deep.

A lovely folk art Buddha, made of painted teak wood, with detachable ushnisha. Sri Lanka, late 19th-early 20th century. H. 33cm W. 26,6 cm. Condition: traces of old repainting.

A wonderful Tibetan lama statue, made of gilt repoussé copper, dating from the 18th or 19th century. The figure still has it's original ornaments hanging from the shoulders. H. 30 cm W. 21 cm. Condition: expected age wear to the gilding, a few cracks in the copper. The ornament (probably a bottle) in the lama's lower hand is missing. Very good condition considering the age.
