A real antique Tibetan image! Powerful and quite rare wood image depicting Hayagriva, the wrathful emanation of Avalokiteshvara, with a horse head appearing from his skull, a dorje in his right hand; he is wearing a long necklace of skulls (the center, lower part is lost), he wears a human and elephant skin on his shoulders ( the lower, left corner of the “skin” is broken, old brake). H. 17 cm. (6,7 inches). Tibet, late 18th cent.

An extremely rare set of bronze figures depicting Krishna and his wife Radha. Very well proportioned and extremely finely engraved. Made in Orissa, India in the 17th or 18th century. Krishna is 22 cm high, Radha is 16,5 cm high. A complete set of Krishna and Radha is very hard to find. This set came from a Belgian private collection. A beautifully carved and polychromed alabaster figure of a standing female divinity, wearing a dark green sari scattered with a gilt floral pattern, both hands held out towards the front, youthful face with large eyes and simple gilt diadem encircling her black-painted hair, Indian, 19th century. Size: 31" high x 13 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" deep.

A large bronze image, cast in two pieces, showing the Tamil deity Aiyanar riding on his horse. The bejewelled cavalier is holding a curved sword and a round shield, wearing decorated bloomers. The stallion with sumptuous harness. Condition: traces of usage. Dimension: c. 29.8 cm high, c. 24 cm long, c. 8.8 cm wide, weight: 3.4 kg.

Antique Indian Mughal miniature painting of a court princess, holding a child's crown on a small, round tray. She is draped in shear yellow robes with red salwar and she is bedecked with jewels. Her long black hair flows down her back. Here beautiful face has a slight smile. Behind her are tall plants flowering yellow and white. This court painting was probably once an album leaf from an illuminated text...

Indian stone bust of Brahma with three heads, Central India. Crowned headdress with raiment of a royal being. Light grey stone, benevolent countenance.
Brahma known as the creator god in Hinduism. He is also a consort of Saraswati and he is the father of Four Kumaras, Narada, Daksha, Marich, along with many more.

Several Puranas describe him as emerging from a lotus, connected to the navel of Lord Vishnu...

This Tibetan talisman has a sealed leather herb bag hanging on each side of a small bronze sitting Buddha which is also displayed in a leather casing. The Buddha is depicted as holding a small bottle. All 3 pieces are hanging from a matching leather strap so that it could be worn around the neck of the individual.

Antique 17th century Tibeto - Chinese extremely fine Tibetan Pen Case made of heavy low-grade silver alloy pen holder for writing instruments. Signed with 3 Chinese Characters. Writing set holder form of two cylindrical fluted shaft finely engraved with continuous auspicious symbols, the ends in the form of bulbous lotus blossoms, surmounted by Tibetan Buddhist ritual ceremonial crown, Gyalwa Rig Nga (Wylie rgyal ba rigs lnga). Internal sleeve engraved with three Chinese characters...

Large mezzotint on thick paper showing Muhammad Ali Khan Nawab of Arcot and the Carnatic. 1771, published 1772. Size 63x40cm. This print was made after an oil painting by Francis Swain Ward of 1763. Pencil annotations at base. Crease upper right side, small margin tears. Can be viewed in central London and shipped worldwide. See the example in the Royal Collection Trust ref number RCIN 618757. That was recently exhibited at The Queens Gallery, London

West Nepalese Mask with Yak Hair, 13 inches, 33 cm.

Intricately decorated snuff bottle of baluster shape, with a detailed decoration in relief representing, from top to bottom, a geometric design around the neck, a monster on both sides holding a lozenge frame containing a lapis lazuli on one side and a coral on the other side, the foot representing a stylised lotus. The stopper is also made of silver with a lapis lazuli on its top, and a silver spoon. A small silver chain links the stopper to the body of the bottle...

Staff carved out of one piece of a hard species of wood. On the top crouches a female figure with long hair, the arms wrapped around her body. The tip is a lighter middle brown while the rest is patinated a dark brown. Probably used in Shamanistic rites in tribal regions. Himalayans.
Length 16.5 inches (42.5 cm).
Some cracks and chips, nice patina.

Antique Indian bronze figure of Krishna. Standing in a relaxed pose with his flute in hand. He is bejeweled and wears a pleated dhoti. Long strands of hair fall to his shoulders. Behind his tall headdress is a sun disk. Krishna and his consort, Radha together represent the ideal relationship of love between god and soul. Beautiful original patina and hand rubbed finish.
