Chrysanthemum theme repeating on the rim, through the column, the base, and in decorative embellishment depicting the stems and leaves in blue and the finely detailed blossoms in white. There is small chipping throughout - on the rim of one holder and in the finely detailed stems and blossoms on each. Offered in as found condition. Height of each about 6 inches (15.24 cm)

Surface has the design of Eagle with Pine tree, clouds and bamboo grass. Inside rim area with blue underglaze and chrysanthemum design. Outside has a lots of enamel work with Peony flower and clouds. Very good works of blue underglaze design around foot rim. The condition of bowl is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline...

A fine Japanese blue and white porcelain soba choko with decoration of prunus blossoms on branches rising above an active with breaking waves all over a comb pattern on double blue lines above the foot. A fret band decoration appears inside the foliate shaped rim and a flower head within double blue ring adorns the bottom inside...

A pair of Japanese porcelain footed sake cups, the interiors with minuscule calligraphy of Waka poems, the exteriors with the “hundred poets” motif in Satsuma style against a background of gilt and red. Probably early 20th century, Kutani marks to base. Height "2/ 5.5 cm. Condition: fine.

A Fukagawa eight and 7/8 inch open vegetable dish. Iris decoration from Chuji Fukagawa's own 19th century design book. Blue underglaze and red, yellow and gold overglaze enamel decoration. Mt. Fuji mark in underglaze blue inside the foot ring. Late Meiji or early Taisho. Good condition. A pair of Japanese dishes or plates, Edo, probably 18th century. Over-glaze decoration in iron red, aubergine, black, green and gilt of scholars in a landscape of rocks and banana trees. In the centre Kirin, the mythical animal, in under-glaze blue. The back with auspicious symbols. Diameter "8½/ 21,5 cm (both plates). Condition: both dishes with some wear to the decoration, one with a chip to underside of rim (cf. pictures).
