A Very Fine /Rare Black Glaze (Temmoku) Pear-Shape Bottle: 14th C.
Korea, Koryo dynasty, 14th Century,
This small, but well potted globular stoneware body set on a raised ring foot, with a narrow neck
and everted rim, decorated with a beautiful thick temmoku (iron-black) glze poolling towards the base
and flowing down over the foot.
It is in very fine condition without any noticeable damages except a small foot rim chip (this is a kiln chip, not an artificial chip)...
A Korean, inlaid slip (sanggam), celadon brush washer for the scholar's desk; Goryeo dynasty.
Delicately potted and with a fine coloured glaze, this washer is fully glazed with three kiln-support marks to the foot. It is inlaid with floral decoartion to both the interior and exterior.
Dimensions: 10.9 cm diameter.
Good glaze condition, some overpainting to the rim, and an associated hairline.
