A Very Fine Punchong Stoneware White Slip Inlaid Shallow Bowl-15th C.:
Korea, Joseon dynasty, 15th century.
The Shallow circular dish tapering to a raised ring foot, decorated with inlaid white slip,
the interior with a centural flowerhead medallion surrounded by band of smaller impressed
flowerheads and stylized curtain rope pattern, the exterior applied with a luster celadon glaze over all, base unglazed.
It’s in very fine condition with a tiny chip to the rim...

The grey-green glaze covers the entire piece except for three small spur marks on the recessed base; it displays a dense web or craze of lines...
Korean Buncheong ware bowl with motif of six flowers forming a large flower at the center. It is bordered with flower petal pattern,then with an outer floral patterned band. The exterior is decorated with a a band of spots. The design is stamped into the clay, a white slip fills in the gaps, and a clear glaze coats the piece creating the contrast of white and gray under a smooth surface. Age: Joseon Period. A sublime Korean celadon bowl with a flower and scrolling vine motif imprinted on the inside of the bowl bordered with an incised line below the rim. The grey green glaze displays a dense web or craze of lines. Korean celadon wares have been favored by the Korean court and by the Japanese, who call it Korai Seiji. This saucer dish, raised on a fairly narrow foot displays the “shibui” and “wabicha” aesthetics sought after by Japanese tea practitioners as well as “Mingei” collectors. The brown stoneware body was hastily brushed on the interior and underneath the dish in a rapid manner with no consideration of perfection. The white slip was applied while the piece was still wet from the potter's wheel...

This interesting early 19th century Korean hand thrown blue and white vase is 9” high and 5” wide from the widest part. It depicts several plants and has texture style patterns in blue over the pale gray background. It is in excellent condition.

used for a ritual ceremony in Silla or Kaya periods.
This is an extremely rare Jingle cup with an inside pierced high ring foot,
cut and opened high footed stem like a pedestal bowl with natural ash and lead
glaze on the body...
A Fine Carved Koryo Greenish Celadon Bottle Vase:
Korea, Koryo dynasty, 11th -12th century
This is a baluster shape of body and cup-mouth shape, the sides tapering to
the flat base with no glaze, knife-cut with vertical facets below
interlocking loops encircling the shoulders, around the shoulder carved with lotus
leafy foliage, covered overall in a celadon-green glaze.
It’s in fine condition with some kiln-grit adhering to the base.
Measurements; 25cm x 14,6cm (9 7/8” x 5 ¾”).
