Antique Belouch persian rug, hand knotted from wool. The dark reds and coral colors are very striking. The rug has stag like animals in varying colors along the sides. There is a small orange animal climbing a column on one of the registers. It measures 3'10" wide by 7' long.

This Antique Persian Tribal Kilim was woven by the Qashqai Nomadic Tribal group in Southwestern Persia/Iran. Woven in the late 19th century with amazing all natural colors and in remarkable condition. Both decorative and highly collectible piece. Qashqai rugs typically have designs of diamond shaped medallions. It has various shades of oranges and reds on brown abrash and off-white ground. It measures 12'5" by 4'10".

Antique Chobi hand knotted wool rug. The rug has very dramatic blues and yellows accented with pale green and red. The design is centered around an X shaped from the center. it measures 7'1" by 8'10".

Antique Afshar rug from the early 20th century, circa 1910. Hand knotted from blue and red wools. The border has a maroon pattern on a blue ground. It measures 10'6" by 5'.

Antique Afshar style persian hand knotted rug. Bright pinks dominate the design with accents of orange, white, brown, and other colors. THere is a large central medallion and an intricate border. It measures 8'2' by 4'4". Early 20th century.

Safavid Dynasty. (1502–1736) Persian dynasty. It was founded by Isma'il I, who, by converting his people from Sunnite to Shi'ite Islam and adopting the trappings of Persian monarchy, planted the seeds of a unique national and religious identity. He captured Tabriz from the Ak Koyunlu and became shah of Azerbaijan (1501) and Persia (1502). 'Abbas I (r. 1588–1629) brought the dynasty to its peak; his capital, Isfahan, was the center of Safavid architectural achievement...

Its function is not obvious, maybe an ink pot (davat) or a container for tobacco or spices. From an old Swiss collection. Condition: good, few tiny dents. A drop-shaped ewer with ribbed body and hinged lid with small bird final. The rococo style handle connecting body and lid. Curved, simple spout and two finely engraved horizontal bands. Condition: small dents, partially rubbed. Dimension: 35.8 cm high, weight: 1030 g.

An oval brass seal and a square carnelian or glass seal, each with silver mount. The faces engraved with Arabic inscriptions, one dated. Condition: some traces of usage. Dimension: 1.6 cm long, 1.9 cm and 2.9 cm high (with loop).

A round tray cover made of glazed cotton lavishly block-printed and dyed, produced in Isfahan in the 19th century. Centrally a blossom surrounded by rows of boteh, meandering flowers, cartouches with Arabic inscriptions etc. Qalamkar textiles were especially popular in Persia, often imported from India (here called Kalamkari). A large silver tray of oval form with applied scrolling handles. The sloping sides of the salver with repousse decoration in the Turkish baroque style. Tughra and two other marks to either end of the tray, each handle with two hallmarks. Condition: traces of usage, the sides with two short cracks, one old repair with crack near the attachment of one handle (pic. 9). Dimension total: 41.5 cm long x 26.7 cm wide, weight: 760 g.
