A Persian nargileh water pipe cup "qalian" in conical form, made of brass or copper, maybe with gilding. Engraved and embossed decoration of flowers and calligraphy. Condition: traces of usage, rims slightly dented, some discolored areas, (please look at the photos carefully). Dimension: diameter: 8.3 cm, height: 6.2 cm.

A wooden spoon for sherbet, soup or rice made in two parts. Carved from light wood, the handle with inscriptions in ink under a varnish. Condition: few traces of usage. Dimension: 27.6 cm long.

An oval brass seal and a square carnelian or glass seal, each with silver mount. The faces engraved with Arabic inscriptions, one dated. Condition: some traces of usage. Dimension: 1.6 cm long, 1.9 cm and 2.9 cm high (with loop).

Antique Belouch persian rug, hand knotted from wool. The dark reds and coral colors are very striking. The rug has stag like animals in varying colors along the sides. There is a small orange animal climbing a column on one of the registers. It measures 3'10" wide by 7' long.

The ground fabric was certainly made in China. The ends of the shawl are finely embroidered in multi-colored silk yarn. The embroidery is identical on both surfaces. The sides with fringes or crochet work. Condition: one hole (near embroidery) and few tiny holes, few tiny stains and loose threads. Dimension: length without fringes: approx. 225 cm, width: 45 cm.

The basic fabric is a linen weave with black stripes. The ends are embroidered with a striped camel carrying a coffin to Mecca, in polychrome threads and decorated with fold silvered metal. A book cover made for a Qur'an, the originating country being North African or in the Middle East. A coarse weave is embroidered with red in counted stitch and with metal wrapped thread. The back with padded embroidery. The inside with very soft white leather. Condition: some wear and leather with few stains and two corners unstuck. Dimension opened: 22.2 cm x 28.5 cm.

Antique Persian Persian Qom [Ghom, Qum] Tree of life- Hand Knotted Rug, Made in the city of Qom, in Iran (Old Persia) at around 1920, from 100% wool and vegetable dyes in the tree-of-life motive. Rugs woven in Qom in the last 100 years are among the best quality in the market today. They are also among the most expensive and highly collectable....

Two different pipes, the bowls made of Tophane clay embellished with gilding or gilded metal rim. The stems ar made of wood ending in a horn mouthpiece. One with mark. Condition: one bowl was broken in two and the other one with two chips. Dimension: total length: 35 cm and 16 cm.

Composed of different cotton fabrics, made into a rectangular shaped woman’s prayer cloth indicating qibla, the direction of prayer. The basic fabrics are geometrically worked tapestry weaves, crocheted together. All sides with fringes, backed with a plain weaves. Condition: traces of usage, few thin areas, lining little stained. Dimension with fringes: 113 cm x 55 cm.

Antique Afshar rug from the early 20th century, circa 1910. Hand knotted from blue and red wools. The border has a maroon pattern on a blue ground. It measures 10'6" by 5'.

A fragment of a large hanging, depicting a kneeling Persian nobleman betweeen two horsemen. Embroidered in chain stitch on a coarse weave. A set of six silver bowls, the center with raised omphalos. Below an acanthus bordure decorated with a band of Arabic calligraphy. No mark, but silver tested. Condition: due to the high silver content the bowls are quite soft and some are slightly distorted. Three bowls with few dents. Dimension: diameter: 10.6 cm, 5.1 cm high, total weight: 476 g.

A pot made of copper with gilding inlaid with silver and copper, decorated with interlacing patterns, tendrils and Islamic calligraphy inscriptions in cartouches. Condition: few traces of usage. Dimension diameter: c. 19 cm, height: 15.8 cm, weight: 918 g.

A hanging lamp of rounded form with lower domed section, decorated with engraved panels of persons, beasts and calligraphy between swirling pierced flowers. Condition: rim with small restored area, few tiny dents. Dimension: burner: c. 23.8 cm high, diameter: c. 14.2 cm, total height: c. 45 cm.

A Persian lacquered box, of oval form, lid with the royal court scene with the king on the throne and officials around him, the base with a band of animals, calligraphy poem to the edge. Coffee pots like this were used across northern Africa from Morocco to Saudi Arabia. These "Dallah" coffee pots would have been used to make the traditional Qawha and Khaleeji coffees. This coffee pot is from late 1800's early 1900. Price is commensurate with condition....It has had several repairs and is so heavily tarnished that I cannot identify the actual metal...I assume it is some mix of copper and some alloy which would be typical for its age.
