Lovely example of Han tomb sculpture. Made of red pottery, painted with red, white and black pigments. Both are in good condition, with normal age wear. Signed La Estrella Taxco 980 this lotus pectoral is an exceptional work. Several artists created the Lotus design. The Taller of La Estrella produced the most beautiful pectorals and they are rare. The shop was only in business in Taxco for around 2 years. Not much is known because they were not there long but everything I have found has been astounding. This lotus has broader sweeps with the pectoral wings and the S links are longer than other makers. The drop is 4 inches long and 5 in. across....

This Ledesma parure is set with natural, green, sparkly Chrysoprase. All three pieces are hallmarked as shown and the earrings are clip backs. The clips are tight and in excellent condition. An extremely old mask said to come from Darchula district in the far West Nepal however this mask shares striking similarities with masks from Himachal Praddesh. The encrusted black patina and the thickness of the carving seems however uncommonly observed in Himachal masks H 34 cm presented on an iron stand.
