Adorable vintage French enamelware match box (allumettes) in good condition. Sweet red color with white stripes. Circa 1930's. Marked on bottom with "12, BB, 18201, Depose". Wonderful set of five vintage French canisters in a red and white checkerboard pattern. Very unique swirl pattern on interiors of canisters. Wonderful champagne ice bucket, or "seau" circa 1950's/60's, from France. To advertise their product, champagne houses would give these buckets to restaurants as a point of sale item, they were not sold. This bucket was never circulated - it is NOS (new old stock). Marked "Montebello" in enamel, "Champange" & "Chateau de Mareuil s/Ay." Nice rolled handles. Chrome over brass; measures 8" tall 7-3/4" across.

A simply elegant 18 karat yellow gold belt buckle comes to us from Tiffany & Co. The buckle is quite heavy, weighing one full ounce (20dwt). The period mark is an M, indicating that the piece was made between 1907 and 1937. The length of the buckle is 1 ¾” and the height at the widest 1 11/16” and it will accommodate a 1” wide belt. The engraving in the back is the monogram GSR in Art Nouveau style letters.

A rare Song - Yuan dynasty longquan celadon big jar with wooden cover, rounded side with globular body and glazed base, jar decorated with flower scroll motif at the body and Buddhist symbols at lower part, there is four Chinese character at each side.
Jar is in very good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, good ping sound with finger tip.

A good and very rare early Ming 15th century Zhengtong - Tianshun interregnum blue and white bowl with two immortals, rounded side with flared rim and glazed base, bowl decorated with under glaze blue of two immortals (He & Hu) motif, center with scholar sitting on a big fish, very rare motif, base with square mark.

The ultimate in men’s accessories is this 14Kt yellow gold pen knife from the early twentieth century. It was originally used on watch chains as a functional fob. This carved wooden dragon head and RuYi symbol is from an old Buddhist temple monastery in Inner Mongolia, a region that is now part of China. This piece was probably used to stablize joint between a support post and a rafter beam. Hand carved from teak wood, both sides have the same dragon head at one end and the ruyi form at other end which images as the dragons tail.

This unique stone cameo set consisting of a pair of earrings and a broach / pendant with a removable bail, set in 10Kt yellow gold, is a great example of American Victorian Etruscan jewelry. The width of the broach is 1” and the height with the bail is1 7/8”. The earrings have “French Backs” old-fashioned screw backs. The width of the earrings is 11/16” and the height is 1 ½” including the backs.

This Male Hindu temple figure comes from one of the Indonesian Islands. He is hand carved from a tree trunk and colorfully painted. At 210 cm he is with inches of being 7 feet tall.

Description: A Longquan celadon-glazed water pot was mold with a narrowed mouth, merged body and a well shaped foot ring. Yielded under the glaze with evenly spread crackles of iron wires all over the surface including the center of the foot ring, adding with the iron brownish foot ring, the small water pot was imitated to the Ge-typed wares of Song Dynasty in a charming look. The tint is much darken and greener in real than in the pictures...

A rare Ming 15th century Interregnum to Hongzhi period blue and white deep dish, rounded side with flat rim and deep center, dish decorated with under glaze blue of Tibetan sanskirt at the center, outer wall with continuous flower motif.
Dish is in good condition with small section of the rim has been broken and re-attach please see picture, nice deep blue, still a very attractive dish for display.

An unusual blackwood ruler inlaid with silver markings on one side. Age: Qing Dynasty. Early 19th century. Size: L.35cm. Condition: No repairs. Normal ageing and some minor dents.

Offered is a wonderful 19th century, antique, papier mache and wooden black mammy doll manufactured during the late 1800s. The doll has no markings to indicate the manufacturer, but it features a papier mache head with a wooden torso, arms, and legs. The face is hand-painted with wonderful detail, and it includes all of its original clothing which consists of a dress, apron, and kerchief. Overall the doll stands a diminutive 5 1/2" tall.

A Renaissance Revival library table in walnut with wonderful carved and pierced acanthus leaf decoration to either end support. The medial stretcher supports three beautifully proportioned turned and carved balusters, and a gadrooned frieze reveals two real and two faux drawers with oak interior, again with acanthus decorated wooden pulls. Very early hand crafted sterling silver pin signed LOS CASTILLO TAXCO MEXICO STERLING. Pin measures 4 inches long and 2 inches wide. Antonio Castillo was the head of Los Castillo and was married to the woman who would come to be known as Margot De Taxco. She often designed pieces for Los Castillo before striking out on her own. Pin is in perfect condition as is the beveled mirror. This piece was very likely designed by Margot.

Unusual Chinese late Qing dynasty to possibly early Republic (late 19th to early 20th century) hardwood stand used to hold opium pipe dampers. A single drawer with brass pull is used for the storage of smoking accessories. The back is nicely carved with a bamboo motif. 13"L x 2"D x 3"H. Very good overall condition with some minor stains to the wood consistent with its age and use. Three-piece French silver coffee service, 1st standard .950 silver. Circa 1900. Hallmarked. A bachelor's size set of pear form, supported on three hoof feet, with cast and repousse scrolling foliate decoration to the bodies and covers. The ebony handles demonstrate fine, delicate turnings. No monograms. Excellent original condition with no repairs or dents. Size of pot: 5.75" high x 5.25" across the handle x 3" diameter.

Cast iron standing horse doorstop by Hubley, #345. Circa 1930s. Unmarked. This horse retains almost all of its original dappled grey painted surface. The figure is well modelled with wonderful detailing of the anatomical features. Excellent condition, some minor wear along the top of the neck and on one side of the horse. Size: 12" length x 10.5" height.

Carved bone and ebony Civil War era dominoes. Mid 19th century. This complete set is comprised of 28 tiles carved from bone, laminated onto ebony, secured with brass pins. They are offered in their original wooden case with sliding cover. Box measures: 6.75" x 2.25" x 2.4". Condition is very good, but exhibiting some signs of wear and minor chipping to some tiles. All in all a great early game.

Unusual, and very collectible onyx and silver ring designed and signed by New York silver artisan Sam Kramer. Ring face is 1 inch from top to bottom. Size 7 1/2. This piece might be referred to as Christmas jewelry as it carries an inscription on the inside of the band dated 12-25-72, Love Always Linda. The inscription could easily be removed but it does give the piece a nice history. The ring also carries Kramer's hallmark, a mushroom with two lobes...

English partial tea service adorned in Imari decoration, unmarked but probably Coalport, with some pieces bearing the pattern number 653 painted in red. Circa 1810-1825. This service includes the following items: teapot with stand, milk jug, waste bowl, 9.5 inch plate, 6 tea cups, 2 coffee cups (one cracked), and 4 saucers. Dimensions of tea pot: 10 inches long x 5.5 inches high x 5 inches deep. Very good condition with some wear to gilding.

Historical Staffordshire dark blue covered sugar bowl with transfer of Washington at Mount Vernon. Unmarked, early 19th century. Condition: light staining to interior of bowl and some minor glaze roughness; professional restoration to cover, not visible from exterior but showing under black light and with some color variation to the inside of the cover (see photo). Size: 6.5 inches long x 4 inches deep x 5.75 inches high.

This wonderful pair of dogwood flower earrings is a great example of the late forties or early fifties 14Kt pink gold jewelry. The flowers are 7/8” in diameter, and have the old fashioned “French backs” (screw backs). The mark is 14Kt and the makers mark is WL.

This beautifully designed pin was made by Bippart, Griscom & Osborn, one of Newark, N.J.’s premiere jewelry firms. It is formed as a scrolled pinwheel, decorated with green tour-a-guilloche enameling and small pearls. It is made of 14kt gold, and has a hinged pendant bale and watch hook on the back. It is marked with the firm’s torch mark and 14K. It measures about 1 inch in diameter.

Victorian Mercury glass demijohn bottle, 19th century. This early example of Mercury glass is hand blown with a rough pontil mark on the underside and a sheared lip at the top of the narrow neck. The rectangular form is embellished with vertical ribbing. The mercury finish is in very good condition, with only a single half inch diameter area where the finish exhibits signs of oxidation. There are bubbles visible in the glass. Dimensions: 9.5" wide x 7" deep x13.25" high.

A very well executed Ming stone weight depicting a strange youth guiding a mythical beast.The stone itself is unusual in that is very hard and veined with two colors. A very unique piece and a true work of art. It is my understanding that these weights were used for pressing paper. Size: Base. 28.3 x 28.3cm. H. 14.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Some minor old chips around the edges and the horn on the animal might have been filed a little long ago.

Don’t get lost. You will get a very unusual trinket if you purchase this 14Kt gold pendant with a compass inside. Originally it was used as a watch fob in the 1920’s which explains some minor dents on the front and back. The design in the front is enhanced by a white gold coat of arms for initials that could be engraved, and the back is polished. The fob is ¾” square and 1 7/16 high with the bail standing on its corner.

Wonderfully crafted triple row cultured pearl broach mounted on a 14Kt yellow gold base and decorated by a 14Kt yellow gold bow. The sixty-one various size very high luster cultured pearls are perfectly matched. The diameter of the broach is 1 1/8".

Offered is an extraordinarily RARE, pre-Civil War, Negro slave document from Decatur County, Georgia, dated May 1837.

This document is an exceptionally rare piece of historical ephemera in that it is the actual, formal and legal lawsuit filed by slave owner, Esther Miller, along with 25 other named male citizens of Decatur County, Georgia, against one Cader Powell for the "offense of beating, whipping, and assaulting a slave without sufficient provocation."

This elaborate silver Miao headband would be worn by a woman for festival. First a piece of fabric would be tied around the womans head to protect her from the sharp edges of the metal. The headband would make a soft pleasing sound as the woman moved her head. The man on horseback and flowers are a reference to the Miao myth of bringing light into the world. The headband is approx 20 inches long.

Channel the glamour of Mad Men in this real vintage cocktail ring. Exquisitely executed in 14 karat white gold, the ring features 14 old-mine cut diamonds surrounding an approximately 6 carat emerald cut deep velvet green tourmaline. The center stone measures 9.6 x 14 mm and the weight of the diamonds totals .55 carats. Some of the brilliant stones have minor nicks but, overall, this 1960’s beauty is in excellent condition.
