This is a Northern Song - Jin dynasty cizhou sancai dish with incised lotus design, with green and brown colour enamel. It stands on a short foot rim and then everted into a u-shaped body. The centre of the dish is incised with a single lotus flower with a large open leaf below it. The lotus is painted with a shade of brown colour on the inner side and the outer side a dark cream colour. The lotus leaf is painted in green colour with brown shading on the inner side...

Rare Chinese Yuan Dynasty Early "Blue & White" Vase (Ex. Grahame Clarke Collection)

This rare bottle vase was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) by one of the kilns at Yuxi county in Yunnan province, one of the first places in the world where blue & white ware was produced. Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl (Hongzhi)

This blue and white porcelain bowl with flared rim was made during the late 15th - early 16th century (Hongzhi reign 1488 – 1505). The outer wall is decorated in underglaze blue with a honeycomb pattern. The central decoration is loosely based on a vajra (Buddhist sceptre) with various other decorations around the inner wall. It is coated in a finely-crackled glaze.

A nicely shaped large Yuan Dynasty incenser in light green celadon glaze with ribbing design to exterior. Description: A beautiful Jizhou bowl was in wonderful condition. By a firm and stable condition of the glaze which was very unusual to a Jizhou ware, the bowl was kept perfectly and preserved with all aspects of the characteristics as a genuine piece. In a typical Wan (bowl) type with wide mouth rim, the bowl was molded with steep wall and with comparatively flatten bottom. Description: A Yueyao covered jar was rarely found with dated inscription of The 25th Year of Saoxing period(AD1155). By a fine pale-green glaze applied all over the surface, the jar was fitted with an interesting cap which imitating the roof of a Chinese building. Other motifs were those like the counting scale by the Chinese characters and the Chinese couplets of –“ The Warehouse is always full, The Selling Store is always open”. It was a fine jar, an interesting piece indeed...

Description: A Rare Yaozhou Baby of 12th century was excavated with obvious evidence of adhesives. With sophisticated olive-green glaze, the lying Song baby survived over 800 years and still reflected the restraint glaze glamour the excavated piece always have. Very Rare LARGE Thai 13th - 15th Century Underglazed Bowl (Ex. Grahame Clarke Collection)

This superb large and extremely rare stoneware bowl was made during the 13th - 15th Century. It is "heavily-potted", coated in a white slip and decorated in underglaze iron, the design very similar to a smaller Vietnamese underglazed bowl we have from this period. Very Rare Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Buddhist Lotus Jar with Sanskrit Inscription

This very rare, possibly unique, pottery jar was made between the 10th and 13th centuries, during the Five Dynasties period (AD 906 - 960), Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province. 

It is one of the most unusual Yunnan jars that we have seen. The design represents either lotus leaves or a lotus blossom...

Description:

A small Junyao cup was well glazed on the surface.
The thick glaze was rolling down on the outer surface and stopped in half way to reveal the rough-feel body clay.
Obvious circular molding scars were left on the body clay when the foot ring was well shaped and stand in somewhat everted angle.
Crackles and incursions to the glaze were observed for easy verification.
One small splash of purplish tint was yielded in the cavetto...

Description:

A Junyao tripod censer was in decent form.
It was well glazed in moon-white tint when subtle green glaze was reflected within.
Some crackles were yielded in the glaze due to enduring time.
Some incursions were happened too.

Date: Jin dynasty, 1115-1234.

Rare Large Chinese Yuan Dynasty Underglazed Zodiac Jar

This large and extremely rare stoneware jar of very attractive form was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) or possibly the early part of the following Ming Dynasty, most likely at one of the kilns in Yuxi, Yunnan province. It is "heavily-potted" and has been decorated in an underglazed pattern of twelve panels each featuring one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac...

This is a fine, beautiful and brightly coloured example of a small “Jun” ware bowl which was treated as a “manufacturing defect”. The bowl is well glazed in a bright lavender colour with pooling of a bright blue sky glaze at the base of the bowl. It would have been a fine piece if not for an overglazed which has resulted in an overflow of a big pool of the glaze down to the sagger.
