This enamelware match holder or "allumettes" box, circa 1930's, has a lovely rose garland pattern. Definite wear from age & use, areas of enamel are chipped off around the edges & some spots have been painted over white, but this match box still retains its original charm. Sterling vermeil pendant-tassel necklace and clip earrings, Nettie Rosenstein from the 1930's or early 40's. Pendant has oriental feeling in a bird cage effect complete with ruby rhinestone flowers and turquoise colored beads. Simulated seed pearls form the border. The twisted rope chain is thick and works well with the pendant. Oval earrings match the pendant design. Chain is 15" long, 1/4" thick. Pendant is 2" long, 1" wide, 1/2" deep. Tassel is 1 1/2" long. Earrings are 1 1/8" by 3/4"...

Wonderful set of five vintage French canisters in a red and white checkerboard pattern. Very unique swirl pattern on interiors of canisters. Overall in good shape, a few dings here & there, but nothing to detract from the charm of this vintage set. More pictures available via email. Circa 1930's. Largest canister measures approximately 4-1/2" high, 4-1/2" diameter. Smallest measures 3-1/4" high, 2-3/4" diameter.

The perfect size for that not too large room. Louis Vuitton suitcase trunk fitted to a custom hand-made base. The base is maple with a hand stained custom blended matching finish. The case itself, we're guessing, dates to around the 1930's, and is in great vintage condition, showing minor signs of travel wear. Fit the top with a piece of glass or use it without for extra storage...

A fabulous vintage classic six, that is, a six dot Bakelite bangle. Circa 1935. Guaranteed vintage and original, from a Philadelphia estate. In heavily marbled tortoise with six inset dots in pale yellow creamed corn. The bangle and the dots test positive for Bakelite using Simichrome.

1/2 inch wide by 3/8 inch thick and with standard 2 1/2 inches inside diameter. Excellent condition. Photos enlarged to show detail.

A 1920-s platinum and diamond engagement ring, centered by a 1.00Ct old-miner diamond that has G color and SI2 clarity. The open scroll design is further decorated by fourteen single-cut diamonds, which brings the approximate total diamond weight to 1.25Ct. The center diamond is not certified, but was graded by our in-house gemologist.

A Meissen Full Green Vine demitasse cup & saucer with a scalloped edge and gold trim. This 2" tall cup and matching 4-1/4" saucer features a wreath of green vine leaves on the outside of the cup and inside the saucer. It has gold trim and highlights and it has the Meissen underglaze blue crossed swords, a blue 43 and an impressed 1159 26. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs...

A square bottle vase by one of the most sought after and influential of all Japanese ceramic artists, Kawai Kanjiro (b. 1890), enclosed in the original kiri box signed by the master, which we have had authenticated at the Kawai Kanjiro Memorial Museum (now endorsed on the top by his daughter, Kyoha). The pale crackle glazed vase dates circa 1935, and is decorated with flower like dabs of rust and cobalt typical of this period, with dark iron fading out from the square mouth and base...

The quintessential Art Deco designer, Abraham Paz is one of the earliest maestros of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance. He worked in Mexico City and many of the designs we associate with Fred Davis are actually Paz's creations. His minimalist "masks", shield-form links and tiered ring settings epitomize the elegant geometry the 1920s and 1930s are known for while also foreshadowing the less-is-more attitude of modernism...

Water tumbles from steep dark hills into a roiling sea of clouds on this painting by Japanese artist Fukuda Kodojin (1865-1944) enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The erratic brushwork and radical form of this scroll typify work by the unusual self taught Nanga artist. Three tiny huts cluster on the edge of dark forest, a few paddies scratched from the rugged earth, their seeming insignificance a testament to the artists great love of nature...

A vintage Art Deco three piece decorative hand painted luster set by Grimwades c1930. This set is in their Byzanta Ware series and depicts trees and flowers in a kaleidoscopic style view on the 9-1/2" console bowl and twin trees on the 7-3/8" tall candlesticks. Each piece has the Grimwades mark, and each piece retains all of the lustre and decoration. A beautiful set and scarce with all three original pieces...

10 Dinner plates by Black Knight porcelain company, Selb Bavaria, Germany. The pattern number is BLK 37 and depicts floral swags between a framed cartouche with floral bouquet...

Pair of pale blue vintage cafe au lait (or hot chocolate) bowls from France. Marked on bottoms, "Digoin & Sarreguemines, France." Normal wear from age & use, small hairline crack on interior of one bowl, please see photos. Measure approximately 5-3/4 inches across & 2-3/4 inches high.

This sparkling Eisenberg two prong clip measures 2" long by 1 7/8" wide. It is stamped Eisenberg in block letters, also stamped sterling.

A most beautiful Frank Patania Senior cuff offered here with 7 large nuggets of turquoise. These nuggets measure 5/8th's tall and the overall height of the cuff is 2 inches. The length of the silver is 6.25 inches and the inside diameter is 2 3/8th's inches. There is a 1in. gap as well. Silver nuggets are dispersed an each side of the stones. Masterfull hand chasing and a heft of 112 grams. A huge presence and at an auction price value.

This is an early signed Tobias, open backed, and repousse cuff that is 3.25in. tall and weighs in at 84 grams. This is one of the largest examples in over all size and in the depth of the flowers repousse that can be found. The patina is dark and natural. No repairs or cracks in the depth of the sprawling flower motifs. The carving on the tops of the floral repousse is exquisite.
