This pair of handmade woman's shoes were made with cotton vamp and satin stitched embroidered flower motif. The exaggerated upturned front toe was used as a decorative element by several minority groups but from the detailing, I think that they are most likely Miao ethnic minority. They are small and narrow, and probably belonged to a young girl. The Miao, like most minorities, did not practice foot binding. The walking sole measures 6.5 inches long and 2" at the widest part.

Description: A bronze seal of Han dynasty with inscription of Zhen-Chen was uniquely molded as a crouching bear as the knob. With beautiful blue-green verdigris and red tan underneath, this bronze piece was used by a middle ranking official ( In Han dynasty the knob figures of bronze seals were all categorized by official rankings, for example, the chimera figure was for king's only). The motif - a bear, was common seen in Han's picturesque relics but was rarely seen in bronze seal pieces...

Chinese late Ming dynasty Dehua (blanc de chine) porcelain bombe form censer with flaring rim covered overall with a white glaze of warm pinkish tone with areas of darker pink pooling. The base and bottom of the flat foot are both unglazed. 5 5/8” diameter x 3 7/8” high. 17th century. From a Scottsdale, Arizona collection. The current owners purchased the censer in Oregon in 1978 from the collection of an American missionary to China prior to the Japanese occupation...

Description: A full scale(quan-kai) paper painting of ink and colors was from a famous Qing painter Ren Xun(1835-1893).
Well rendered, the figures and scenes were finished by excellent maneuvering of the master painter’s brush strokes.
Defects were observed though, the ancient painting had been well restored and framed by a master Chinese painting restoring expert Lin Mao Long who have done a lot of works for the Palace Museum of Taipei.

Description: A beautiful Jizhou bowl was in wonderful condition. By a firm and stable condition of the glaze which was very unusual to a Jizhou ware, the bowl was kept perfectly and preserved with all aspects of the characteristics as a genuine piece. In a typical Wan (bowl) type with wide mouth rim, the bowl was molded with steep wall and with comparatively flatten bottom. A rare and lovely miniature b/w jar, decorated to the body with three friends of winter, these are the pine, bamboo and prunus. Ming dynasty 15th century excavated on South Sulawesi. Generally speaking this kind of Ming b/w small jar specimen is more rare to found than the others such like Yuan or late-middle Ming type. Condition is perfect except tiny flake to glaze, soft paste body. High: 5.3cm and Wide maximum: 5.7cm.

A good sample of Ming dynasty Chenghua period blue & white dish, decorated with a white on blue Dragons and vividly incised to dragon body. Six character "Da Ming Cheng Hua Nien Zhe" within double circle on the base. Condition: damaged and glued restoration like indicated on the pictures. Diameter: 17 cm.

A finely and rare design of late 15th century small dish, decorated in the centre with a Lotus pond. Underside with figures design. Ming dynasty late 15th century, possibly Chenghua-Hongzhi private kiln ware. Condition is perfect except two short firing cracks to the base, free from restoration. Diameter: 12 cm.

DESCRIPTION: A large polychrome rimmed dish, finely and well balance potted on the quality white glazed i have ever seen, the interior decorated in red, turquoise and black with a marine rose, an Asian merchantman, island, lion foo dog and a whale around the center medallion bordered with Chinese characters, the everted rim vividly painted with houses and mountains scenery. CONDITION: is perfect excepted two glaze hairlines, but it is not cracks...

A fine waterpot moulded in the form of a pair Mandarin Ducks, one resting its head on the neck of the other, covered overall with green and yellow glaze. Late Ming period 16th-17th century. Condition is very good, except one old flake chip below the tail area, visible on enlargement 3, otherwise is excellent. Long: 7 cm and High: 6.5 cm.
