A truly magnificent sterling and red coral necklace by Frank Patania Sr. The center panel has 9 saw tooth bezel set tear drop shaped coral and each of the wing shaped side panels have 6 saw tooth bezel set coral, 3 that are tear shaped and three round. Measuring 16 1/2" end to end, the center piece is 2 7/8" long and 2" across at the widest point. The side panels measure 2 1/2" by 1 1/4". Rare Salvador Teran silver and stone (most probably chrysocolla or agate) dangle earrings, their design a modern interpretation of ancient pre-Colombian motifs in the artist's signature abstract style. They measure 1 13/16" long by 7/8" wide and weigh 23.1 grams (for the set). They are fully signed as shown and in excellent vintage condition with no flaws noted and great patina.

A scarcely surfacing Sigi Pineda necklace and earrings set, here the renowned Taxco modernist combines in the perfect way his skills as a silversmith with his aptitude in mozaic inlay. In this set, sea blue turquoise and what if often referred to as "blue jeans" sodalite are combined in a freely flowing, elaborate knot to create the necklace. Intricately detailed brass "Parrot" with green glass eyes with gold dore surface disguises a functioning stapler. A wonderful, whimsical, desk accessory for the office. Yes, the stapler works, it's marked on the stapler that it takes Regal #25 staples, and there's still a few in it. Appear to be standard 1/4 inch staples, though I haven't tried any new ones.
