This is a fine reddish brown piece of bronze censer. It is of bombe shaped standing on three short feet resting on a curved lotus stand. On the underside of the bronzer censer, it bears the Ming dynasty Xuande reign mark but from the Qing dynasty, circa. 18th century. The stand is included with the censer.

The fine bronze censer is in very good condition.

Huge by any standard these Vrba clip earrings are a show stopper! The center light green stone is dome shaped and is surrounded by tiny clear rhinestones. From Ibaden, Nigeria this traditional Yoruba cloth was woven by the men of the village. It was worn tied around the waist of the woman, and used as a baby carrier. This piece was brought back from Africa in 1961. Hand loomed of cotton fibers, it has a wonderful soft color and texture. It measures 10" wide and 68" long including fringe.

His workshop , Piedra Y Plata, opened in 1950, was considered by his peers to be one of the best silver shops in Taxco. A Mingei style sculpture of a sake-sprite (Shojo) making off with a barrel of rice wine on his shoulder dating from the 19th century. This architectural work was likely originally part of a gate, and would have been a welcome sign to thirsty fellows after a day of work. Carved from a single piece of hard Keyaki wood, It is in excellent condition. 28 x 12 x 5 inches (71 x 13 x 13 cm). Keyaki as a wood is known for its hardness, beautiful grain and pest resistance.

Large Chinese Warring States Impressed Pottery Jar (475 - 221 BC)

This large and attractive pottery jar was made during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). It is made from a relatively high-fired dense grey pottery. The whole of the surface of the upper body has been decorated by impressing cord into the soft clay and then incising horizontal bands as the jar was turned; a simple yet very effective method of decoration.

A beautiful sterling cuff bracelet c. 1950 by Arizona Modernist H. Fred Skaggs featuring a very complex and elaborate pattern of silver applique. The bracelet measures 6 1/2" end to end with an opening that can be made to accommodate either a smaller or larger wrist. The width varies from 2" to 1 1/2" and the weight is 98 grams.
