Sitting on the legendary holy beast- Hong, the Guanyin was in a easy-posture with one leg resting on the back of the animal and with another leg stepping on the lotus pedestal.
She was heavily cast by fine quality of bronze and was carved by brilliant crafts...

In serene mood, the bronze buddha was preserved in very good condition by enduring old patina.
The old gilt had been transformed into darken metal coatings.
There're three casing holes were found within the pleats.
They were rather than defects but were used for fastening to a base.
The holes were overlooked from the frontal view.
It was a fine good piece in small size but presented in grandeur look...

Description:

One decent painted jar was well molded in a grand look. By the straw glazed slip on the surface, the well maneuvered sketching motifs- the vibrant peony flowers and spread leaves were vividly rendered in a regular form around the straight wall.
From the freehand but strictly applied brushwork on the surface and the beige body clay revealed at the foot ring, the beautiful ware was authenticated as a piece from Cizhou kilns for sure -but a restricted one...

Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - Birds (Ex. Grahame Clarke Collection)

This blue and white porcelain bowl was made in the 16th century. It is decorated in underglaze blue of good colour, the design featuring birds perched upon blossoming branches. To the base is a seal mark (not translated).

Diameter 12 cm. It is in good condition. There is minor surface wear, some "fritting" of the glaze at the rim edge and a kiln scar at the top of the outer wall...

This fine dish was made around 1680 at the famous Jingdezhen kilns, during the Kangxi reign (1662 - 1722) of the Qing Dynasty. It is decorated in underglaze blue of quite an intense colour. The decoration to the centre panel features a grasshopper in a garden surrounded by flower blossoms. Surrounding this are more panels variously containing geometric, flowers and precious objects...

A b/w dish with finely potted, painted with a horse in background landscape of prunus, bamboo, rock and lingzhi/fungus, encircling to foliated lip rim with waves pattern. Underside with continuous flower scrolls. Ming dynasty early 16th century Hongzhi phase. Condition restored to a nail chip on rim area, no crack and further in overall good condition. A good Ming Transitional Chongzhen 17th century blue and white big oviod jar, this jar has short neck with thickened rim and stand on a foot ring, jar decorated with under glaze blue transitional style lotus pond and rock motif, on the shoulder there is three flower motif with leaves.
Jar is in good condition no chip, no restoration, there is star cracks line at the base, no effect on display, still a beautiful piece for collection.

A beautifully and well shaped Ming Dynasty (1368-1643A.D) rice bowl with a simple blue splashes of cloud like motives. This piece is retrieved from the sea. The bowl is a common household ware likely to be used for eating rice or drinking water/wine. It is an export ware for the South-East Asian market. It is also likely that this blue bowl can be dated toward the end of the Ming Dynasty - 17th century. The glaze, although is thin and smooth, is still in relatively good conditions...
