Here is a pretty plique a jour pin in the shape of a stylized moth, German or Austrian in origin. The body has 4 colorless paste stones, and there is an emerald green paste stone in the tail. This is a gorgeous custom made, handmade moonstone and genuine ruby pin set in sterling. It is c.1940 and measures 3 1/4" long including the dangling moonstone,and 2 1/2" diameter. Traces of Art Nouveau are left on this Arts & Crafts Ring marked Sterling and possibly a "J", with a satin finish green swirl art glass collet set stone. It is a comfortable pinky ring at size 3.75.
