A beautiful and unique ring by Carmen Beckmann composed of 5 silver bands with a scroll design alternating with stones of turquoise and amethyst quartz. The depth of color of the amethysts vary from dark to light and one of the light stones has a tiny nick on the surface that looks much bigger in the photos due to the extreme magnification. In 1949, William Spratling signed a contract with Conquistador, a large silver factory in Mexico, to provide designs that were to be manufactured and sold by this company. I believe this large, stunning star shaped pendant to be one of these pieces. One of the most beautiful early pieces by Matilde Poulat that I have yet found. This c.1950's sterling, turquoise and amethyst bracelet is exceptional in every way. All of the stones are intact and look to be original. The amethysts are vivid purple and all stones are free of damage. The bracelet measures 8" end to end and is 1 3/4" wide. An extraordinary amethyst and silver bracelet by Fred Davis, c 193. The weight and mass of the large rectangular amethyst stones is complimented by the open design of the silver links. I believe this bracelet to be quite rare. It measures 7 3/4" end to end and is 1 1/4" wide. It weighs 88 grams. It is in fine original condition with only a tiny line and ding to the edge of one of the silver rounds. It in no way detracts from the piece. I mention it only for total accuracy...

Beautiful mid-century modern sterling and amethyst earrings by Antonio Pineda. Boomerang design with a a tear drop cabachon amethyst, these earings are screwbacks and measure 1 1/8" long. Fine original condition and hallmarked with the Antonio crown and the eagle mark. Great looking!

An early piece by Los Castillo, c 1940. A huge sterling pin of a flying fish with a center blue glass stone. From a private collection, a fabulous sterling and tortoise belt buckle by William Stratling. It measures 3" by 1 3/4" and weighs 43 grams. It is in beautiful original condition. A belt buckle with this same silver and tortoise combination is featured on page 56 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. Appropriately signed with the last Spratling mark and the eagle 30. This amethyst and sterling pin by Taxco artist Fred Davis is featured on page 24 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. They date the pin c. 1928. Davis combined silver and amethyst in many of his most celebrated pieces. This pin measures 1 3/4" diameter and is in fine original condition. There are no chips or cracks to the stones and none have been replaced. Hallmarked for Fred Davis as shown. An important early piece by this creative visionary.

An early sterling brooch by Mexican silversmith Matilde Poulat who signed her pieces "MATL" beginning in 1934 until her death in 1960. The motifs of this pin- doves and tiny bells- are ones she used often.The doves have coral eyes and the bells have turquoise dangles. This pin measures 2" long and 1 7/8" wide. It is in fine original condition and signed for MATL in two places on the reverse. This is a wonderful and inspired early MATL piece.

An exquisite sterling and moonstone bracelet by Taxco silversmith Antonio Pineda. A have never seen this Antonio design before and believe it to be quite rare. There are moonstones bezel set within each of the 10 links of the bracelet. This bracelet is solid at 84 grams and measures 6 3/4" around in the inside when clasped. It is 3/4" wide. Beautiful original condition and appropriately hallmarked for Antonio Pineda as shown. A great addition to any Mexican Silver collection.
