This sculpture of an African American man is beautifully sculpted, in a style reminiscent of early 20th century artists who were inspired by the stylized forms of African traditional art.
Good size, it measures 10 1/2" high, and the base is 6 3/4" in diameter, and is a heavy wood, possibly maple or walnut.
There is a very dark finish, some of which has been cleaned off, and in areas where it was handled, there is wear to the finish.
In good condition, some loss to the base around the neck are...

Exceptional quality and large size, this carved marble lamb measures 5 7/8" high, with a base of 8 1/4" x 5 1/8". It is substantial, weighing 9 pounds and 12 ounces.
The detailing of the lamb's fur, face and overall form is excellent, with a nicely beveled base.
In very good condition, with expected surface wear and ears all intact, which is rare...

Terracotta sculpture of putti or cherub petting dog at his side, a garland wrapped around his torso, mounted on mottled marble base, 19th century, style of Clodion.
Measures 12 1/4" high, marble base is 5 1/4" in diameter.
Like all fine sculpture, it is artful from every angle and depicts a very charming putti figure reaching to pet the dog at his side, his fabric garland flowing around him...
The quality of this bronze neoclassical figure is exceptional, with fine detail, deep rich patina, and fire gilding accents.
It measures 12 1/2" high, on a base measuring 6 3/4" x 3 3/8". The base is open on the bottom and shows screws that hold the sculpture in place.
Probably had a marble base at some time.
Signed on the corner, "Moreau", one of the famed French bronze sculptors of the 19th century...

Beautifully sculpted and cast bronze of Bacchus, the God of wine (Le Vin) dancing and reaching down toward a child or baby faun, by noted French artist Louis Holweck (1861-1935).
The sculpture measures 21 1/2" high, 6 1/2' wide, and 6" deep.
The bronze is signed on the base in front "Le Vin", on one side with the artists's signature, and on another side with the foundry mark of J F'Deur, the French foundry...

Ship's portrait of the "Eagle Hull" (named on the stern and on a pennant.) Port side view and Stern view. Recently out of an estate where it had hung since the 60's. Likely a British ship and fitted with gun ports, a hasty search shows the red ensign was also used by Britain's colonies (or "subjects"). An informed maritime scholar can no doubt place things more precisely given the other flag with apparently Swedish colors...
