This Chinese pipe is from the Miao Ethnic Minority group in the vicinity of Rong Jiang. My Miao friends insist that this pipe would have been used for smoking tobacco and not opium. Made from silver alloy, the stem design has the two dragons chasing the center pearl.

The pipe is in very good condition and is 19" long and it comes with its own custom made stand.

Description: A dish-mouthed bottle vase from Yue kiln of Zhejiang province was preserved in perfect condition. In a fine greenish tint, the bottle’s glaze was evenly applied nearing to the edge of the bottom. Through enduring age, the glaze was kept in a fine and stable condition when sophisticated and retrospective luster was reflected in a charming look. Under the glaze, regular patterns were imprinted around the shoulder for decoration...

Description: A terracotta amulet or Tsa-Tsa of Tibet was preserved well in a fine condition. By a mold image of Shakyamuni Buddha who in the earth-witness gesture on the front, gold pigment was applied including the drapery throne when faded red and darken purplish pigment were left to the background. Clear reticulate grains were on the back side. Date: 18th century, Tibet. Height: 8.2cm, Depth: 1.6cm(base).

A slim rectangular box of huanghuali wood with original brass hardware. Over a two-part round lock plate is a cloud-shaped hasp. The four corners on top also have cloud-shaped protective/decorative brass. Period: 17th Century Size: Height = 10.5 cm, Length = 35.2 cm, Depth = 17 cm. Condition: Some old age cracks.

Bronze figure with remains of red and dark lacquering, the kidney shaped base cast separately. The standing god of war in military uniform holding his long beard with one hand. Condition: One fingertip missing, cast with imperfections: see pictures. Dimension: 25.6 cm high, weight: 2317 g.

This saddle has ornate silver and cloisonne detailing. The basic wood saddle tree is covered with leather and the edges are rimmed with strips of silver metal with colorful floral enameling. Addition large flat buttons of silver and cloisonne are sewn to the leg flaps and are also used on the saddle seat to keep the original Tibetan rug saddle pad in place.

This antique Japanese Goten or Palace would have been used to create a Palace scene of the Imperial Court for the display of the 15 traditional Girls Day Hina Doll Collection. The structural parts of the dollhouse are constructed of light weight wood which is painted with black lacquer. Made in the Meiji Period, it is elaborately decorated with painted cranes, pine trees, and flowers, and metal fittings...

A fine large Qianlong celadon porcelain plate marked. It was decorated with a rebus of fortune, five bats, a rebus of happiness surrounding a central longevity character medallion in cobalt blue on a lustrous celadon glaze. The bottom was marked with the six character Qianlong seal mark in underglaze blue AND gilt. It has an attractive barbed shape. Condition : very good condition, only with a very faint 4 cm hairline and a small frit on the rim...

A fine 18th century Chinese molded celadon-glazed porcelain dish, finely decorated around the center with stylized archaistic dragons encircling a central roundel of a lotus flower, a band of key-fret pattern around the foliated rim, covered overall in green glazed. DATE : Qianlong (1736 - 1795). SIZE : D = 28 cm CONDITION : perfect condition, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.

A shallow dish, heavily potted, covered in a beautiful celadon glaze producing the crackles of the Geyao type glaze. The recessed base is glazed while the foot rim is dressed with an iron brown wash. A rare polychrome dish in red and turquoise, the center decorated with peony spray. The sides cavetto with block diapers, medallions and roundels still in original state enamels survived from Ming dynasty early 17th century. Zhangzhou ware or so called Swatow as popular name in South East Asia region. Condition : No chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations. Diameter: 32 cm

 

This flap style hat was commonly used by the men in the cold winters of Northern China, formerly Manchuria, now considered Heilungjiang Province. Padded and lined with silk velvet fabric on the inside and covered with silk satin fabric on the outside, the different layers were quilted together with a decorative floral pattern.

There is a label sewn into the back but any information on it has been worn way from use. The hat is in good condition:no rips, no tears, no holes...

A well painted late 19th Century Chinese Moon Flask decorated with scrolling lotus design and with panels on each side depicting two confronting dragons. There are two 'chilong' dragons on the shoulders. This item was made during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - there is a 4cm (1.5 inch) hairline running from the rim and an old chip to the back of one of the chilong dragons...

A nice old Chinese tea holder made of bamboo, carved with a bird in flight and mountain scene. The back has beautifully incised calligraphy of a poem. Size: H.15.5cm. W. 11.4cm Condition: One old small repair on the back. See photo.

Description: A boxwood carving of a sitting Lohan was depicted finely by affluent craftsmanship. Rendered in a unique characteristics to the features and on the limbs, the Lohan expressed a very unusual atmosphere.Preserved in a very good patina on the surface, the excellent wood piece was kept in perfect condition without any defects.
