An incredible Flambe glazed vase by Kiyomizu Rokubei V on a black-wood stand enclosed in a massive red lacquered storage box heavily inscribed and signed by the artist. I rarely use the term, but this is Museum Quality, or perhaps I should more rightly say this unprecedented piece should be in a Museum! It is 55 cm tall (22 inches), 41 cm (16 inches) diameter. There is a firing flaw in one side (see close-up pictures)...

A good potted of white glaze jar, decorated with incised chrysanthemum flowers below 'ruyi' heads border to the shoulder, bottom with lotus panels. Ming dynasty 15th possibly Interregnum period ware. Condition is good near to perfect, excepted one chip to the foot rim, no crack and no any restoration, replacement lid caused the original one is missing. High maximum: 12cm and Body wide: 9.5cm.

Very rare wine vessel in the Meiping shape used by the boarded patrol. The inscription reads a kind of alcoholic beverage, most likely rice wine. The bottom has the inscription of the maker. Found in north western China. Size: 31.5cm. high. Age: Yuan - 1279-1368 AD. Condition: No repairs, two small chips around the spout and a small chip in the back. See photo 11. Looks worse on the photo then the actual chip.

Exquisite repairs in overlapping gold wave designs on colored lacquer drape upon the rim of this 17th century chawan tea bowl. The white clay is covered with millet colored glaze upon which have been scrawled simple designs like the character for person (hito). The bowl is 10.5 x 10 x 6 cm (4-1/4 x 4 x 2-1/2 inches) and is in excellent condition, in a modern kiri-wood collectors’ box.
