Description: An exqusite wood carving depicts magpies on plum branches. With skillful craftsmanship, two birds playing within knaggy branches was naturally carved on the construction of the openwork. An example of Chinese traditional wood work. A reserved inlay piece was believed 'cause grooves were obvious on the reverse side. A very unusual round Ming huanghuali box with a lid. The lid's center has a burl wood center of huanghuali. It is very rare to see burl wood huanghuali in huanghuali pieces. This is the only one I have ever seen. Size: Diameter: 15.5cm. H: 9 cm. Condition: One old small repair (see photo), a natural age crack on one side (see photo) and a small chip at the bottom rim.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl (Hongzhi)

This blue and white porcelain bowl with flared rim was made during the late 15th - early 16th century (Hongzhi reign 1488 – 1505). The outer wall is decorated in underglaze blue with a honeycomb pattern. The central decoration is loosely based on a vajra (Buddhist sceptre) with various other decorations around the inner wall. It is coated in a finely-crackled glaze.

A large and nice jun yao bowl of sky blue colour. It stands on a short recessed foot rin and then everted upwards towards a slightly straighten side and then towards the rim it folds slightly inwards. There is a slight colour variation between the actual bowl glaze and the photograph taken.
