A beautiful nineteen century woven temple carpet with nice design. The center pattern features 3 large multi-colored abstract florals against a black background that is surrounded by a blue & white keyfret design frame. The center florals include stylized lingzhi fungus combined in the design. The outer edge features abstract cloud and water patterns. These designs symbolize longevity, fertility and good luck. The lord fixes the knot on his helmet, preparing to rush into the fray. The scene is performed in pigment on silk, and we have had it completely re-mounted with a black frame reflecting the original style with sturdy cloth backing...

Description: A circular storage or seal paste box was made of precious Zitan wood. By a whole block of wood, the box was well shaped and hollowed. In a sturdy condition, the cover can be turned to match the basin tightly. Enduring old patina was yielded on the surface. Date: Qing Dynasty(late 19th century) Width: 9.3cm Height: 7cm.

A beautiful example of this exquisite art form in a floral vase on tinted silver foil background. Measuring approx. 6 inches tall 15.5 cm. In excellent condition no damage. A fine example would be a nice addition to any collection.

This large powder horn would have been used by a Yi ethnic minority hunter in the hills of China's Sichuan Province. It was carved and shaped from 2 pieces of wood joined together. The surface was then decorated with traditional patterns using lacquer paint. The attached rings provided an attachment for a shoulder strap (missing) and the access hole has a bamboo stopper.

Description: A decent scholar tray was in quite large size and was kept in very good condition except some old abrasions on the surface. Framed with rare Suanzi wood, the main bottom board was made of beautiful Inn-mu wood (burl wood). The patina was good while regular lines were carved on the reverse side of the bottom board and curves were shaped to the rim. Scholar tray were used to display scholar items and curiosities when the art lover would like to cherish them at hand's reach...

A pair of Chinese under-glaze blue decorated double-gourd vases depicting two confronting four-clawed dragons amongst foliage. The bases carry the four character reign mark of the Kangxi Emperor but these items were made later (probably for export) during the reign of the Guangxu Emperor (1875-1908)...

Measuring 7 1/4" high and roughly 3" wide, this Japanese cloisonne vase is of exceptionally high quality, with very fine detail and shading, all with silver wire. A Meiji period Japanese natural paper, bamboo and iron hanging Chōchin lantern in its original wood box. It consists of the ebonized hand-cut and bentwood hanger which has iron fittings with handcut nails. It opens around a pinion for mounting. The 8-3/4" diameter lantern is formed from handmade paper fiber and it has a bentwood collar and base with iron fittings. The top fitting has a handle for hanging and the bottom has fittings for hanging depending on the location...

Pencil-signed etching by Czech artist Emil Orlik (1870-1932) titled "In the Evening" (Im Abend) dated 1902. This etching was produced shortly after the artist's arrival in Japan in 1900. Description: A granite stone candlestick stand was carved as a female lion and cub playing with a embroidered ball. Holding in the mouth with the thread, the mother lion was teasing the cub who was chasing the ball clumsily. With old darkened patina, there was a hole on the back of the mother lion. The hole was intended as a fasten place for wooden candlestick. Date: Qing Dynasty Length: 14cm Height: 13cm Depth: 7.5cm Condition: A minor old chip on the tip of the mother lion's nose.

Description: A beautiful Imperial blue-ground porcelain bowl in large size was painted to the exterior with five-clawed dragon motif. In iron-red, the imperial motif of dragons were paired with Phoenix and decorated with patterns of tendrils flowers and weeds. A real imperial porcelain was in quite large size and very unique colour. Date: Qing Dynasty, Guang-xu mark and period (AD1875-1908) Width: 25.5cm Condition: very good except some kiln defects within the foot rim.

The base carries a four character iron red reign mark of the Qianlong emperor but this item was made later, for export, probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). This antique Chinese necklace has an ornately detailed large Kylin as the central medallion. The medallion is 3.5 inches across and there are are five decorative chains hanging from it. Each of these chains ends with a fruit. The low grade silver used for the necklace is typical of the Chinese silver used in old China. The Kylin is a Chinese mythical animal.

A well painted late 19th Century Chinese Moon Flask decorated with scrolling lotus design and with panels on each side depicting two confronting dragons. There are two 'chilong' dragons on the shoulders. This item was made during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - there is a 4cm (1.5 inch) hairline running from the rim and an old chip to the back of one of the chilong dragons. 19.5cm (7.7 inches) high.
