Description: An adorned wood female lion was carved in Ming dynasty. Stepping on a cup who lies upward, this lion grinned fiercely. She should had been paired with a male lion who stepping on a scroll ball and all were placed before a shrine as guarding beasts. Description: A charming plate owns the crackled glaze was preserved in very good condition. Shaped with broad and flat foot ring which revealed the characteristic soft paste, the plate was justified as a rare piece from Zhang kiln of Ming dynasty. Zhang kiln was in Fujiang Province. Description: A decent wood carving of Guan-yin was from early Qing period. In elegant broad facial characteristics, the Guan-yin sits easily with flouring robe spreading on the floor when benign and holy atmosphere being fully yielded by the excellent craftsmanship. In quite good size, the piece was carved from one block of camphor wood, except being tenoned on the right hand which had been lost. The patina on the wood surface was old when almost all the paint had gone due to long time of age...

Chinese Ming dynasty porcelain dish decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a hou in a central roundel surrounded by a band of peony flowers and scrolling foliage. One of the nine sons of the dragon, the hou has the appearance of a lion and is depicted roaring at the sky. A similar peony band with scrolling foliage encircles the rim on the reverse side. A heavily potted porcelain jar, made in two horizontal parts, with an underglaze blue floral decoration. South Chinese work from the 16th/17th century. H. 21 cm, D. 19 cm. Condition: very good, no damage or repairs, the glaze is a bit dull and has craquelé because this jar was excavated and spent 4 centuries under the soil. Provenance: in my private collection since I found this jar in Beijing in the late 90’s.

A gilt silver plaque was well decorated with motifs of QiLinSongZi, a most popular Chinese metaphor of the fairy animal Qilin sending child to the vowing family.
By characteristic Chinese scenes of pagoda, plum trees, Qilin and the figure riding through the water waves, the picturesque scene was well carved and chiseled by excellent craftsmanship.
It was a piece most likely a buckle on the cloth belt. There're old drilling holes on four corners for sewing thread.
