A nice Yuan dynasty Jun ware small dish, thickly potted and covered overall with sky blue glaze, reddish and a bit purples splashes. Condition is perfect. Diameter: 13.6cm and High: 3.4cm.

Description: An interesting stamp store's seal was kept in perfect condition. With inscription of Chan Ann Zhai Inn Pu Chang-Chan Ann Zhai Stamp's Store Seal, this wood stamp which stood for the store that had produced numerous stamps for it's clients now was the only one left. Good patina and full of stories were what this old stamp attracted me. Date: Early 20th Century. Height:6.0cm

Chinese Han Dynasty Glazed Pottery Hill Jar (repaired)

This pottery vessel was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It is made from a reddish pottery and, of course, gets its name from its cover that depicts seventeen peaks, interspersed with floral and small circular patterns. The vessel stands on three sturdy legs, each in the form of a bear. Its outer wall is further decorated with a pair of taotie mask handles and bands of surrounding grooves...

Body decorated with molded incised of Lion playing ball and the other side with Mandarin Duck among lotus pond. Condition is broken and re-glued, the upper side, spout and handle is missing. Found at South Sulawesi about more than 10 years ago. Height: 18.5cm.

An opium scale made of two carved bamboo parts that pivot open at the rounded end and close together with a leather strap. Inside this violin-shaped instrument are the original items - metal scale tray, counterweight and a measuring rod made of a long single piece of ivory that is approximately 38 cm (14-3/4 inches). (See photos) The interior is carved so that all 3 items fit snugly inside...

Description:

A tripod porcelain censer was finely potted in the form of an archaic bronze Li vessel.
The flattened everted rim poised above the wide straight neck when the compressed globular body with a band around the shoulder extending down to form flanges on the outer side of each leg.
The legs tapering down to the orange-russet unglazed tips.
The censer was covered all over in an even pale-green glaze and thinning to a whitish-green tone at the rim and flanges...

A set of five Meiji period dishes hand painted by Suzuki Hyakunen in commemoration of the Gosho-Nai Dai-Hakurankai (Exposition in the Imperial Palace, Kyoto) stamped on the underside with the event name and each individually signed by the artist. The literati scenes include a scholar contemplating a waterfall, Mountain retreat lost in rugged hills, sails on the lake, traveler in the hills and horses on the lakeshore under weeping willows...

Dragons writhe across the face of this astounding free standing temple which was a long time display piece in a Butsudan Shoten, an example of the finest work available for Japanese altars. The piece is more than 60 years old, as the current owner of the store (third generation) mentions it has stood there for as long as he can remember. An attractively painted enamel box and cover made in China for export (circa 1891-1908) during the second half of the reign of the Guangxu emperor. condition - excellent - one or two very minor surface scratches - no damages and no restoration...

A dragon rides in a swirl of movement atop this silver and damascened Koro incense burner by Chosa Yoshiyuki. The sides are decorated with images of plum and pine. The bottom is signed Yoshi-saku, and bears the stamp 900 delineating the silver content. It is 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) tall, 3-1/2 inches (9 cm) diameter and in fine condition, enclosed in a period heavy kiri-wood box.

Rare Chinese Neolithic Pottery Tripod
