This impressive porcelain dish dates to c.1540 - 1620, from the late Jiajing reign to the Wanli reign. It has a foliated rim and is decorated in underglaze blue of good colour. Description: One elegant Qingbai stem cup was molded with beautiful foliate rim. In a milky white glaze, the revealed body clay tells its origination being from Hutien kiln. As being from the same origination of the high-quality Hutien kiln, the delicately shaped stand was especially in a quite good look by its finely pottered rim. In a wonderful profile, the intact porcelains were perfect in sets and as the porcelaineous copy of the metal counterparts of the same date...

An intricate age darkened Keyaki (elm) carving of two dragons vying for dominance in a sea of clouds, glass eyes glowing softly in the rich red wood. Dating from the later 19th century, the carving is 49 inches (125 cm) long, 4 x 1-1/2 inches (9.5 x 3.5 cm). It is overall in fine condition with some inevitable abrasions due to time. The tennons on both ends indicate this was made to be inserted between two pillars, and was likely the transom over a Buddhist altar.

Fine & Rare Chinese Ming Dynasty Moulded Kraak Blue & White Porcelain Dish

This fine-quality and very rare "kraak" porcelain dish was made at the Jingdezhen kilns during the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. Its form and decoration are particularly rare and no example appears in the kraak "bible", "Kraak Porcelain" by Maura Rinaldi. The lobed wall has eight moulded panels containing various floral designs...

Description:

A Longquan table screen was preserved in perfect condition.
It was heavily potted and shaped in good size and was decorated on one side with imprint of poems with real scholar taste.
Whitish incursions had happened to the glaze when body clay was revealed at the feet with applied darken brownish layers.

Date: Ming Dynasty. 15th/16th century.

Made in mid Java, hammered and chiseled copper or bronze, decorated with a kind of vase with flower branches. Diameter 40,5 cm. Very good condition and lovely patina. Only one tiny hole.

Fine Chinese Neolithic Siwa Culture Burnished Black Pottery Jar (c. 1350 BC)

This fine and rare pottery vessel was made over 3,000 years ago by peoples of the Siwa Culture (c.1350 BC) from present day Gansu or Qinghai province. It is quite "heavily-potted" with high handles, a saddle-shaped mouth and a wide body. Pottery jars from the Siwa culture are rarer than those of the preceding Qijia and Majiayao cultures and most known examples are made from an orange or buff coloured pottery...

A lovely roku-yu glazed form from the kilns of Korea mounted on a tri-pronged rosewood stand and enclosed in a period kiri-wood box. It is 12 inches (30 cm) tall plus the stand. There are minor chips about the rim. An excellent piece for use in the tea room. Likely 15th to early 17th centuries (Possibly later Goryeo likely early Joseon).

A very elegant pair of Antique Andon lamps dating from the Meiji period in the original storage box from a Kyoto estate. The box is dated Meiji 36 (1904) and stylistically these fit perfectly into that era, with a fine transparent red lacquer finish. They are in excellent condition, each standing 31 inches (79 cm) tall, 8-1/2 inches (22 cm) square. Due to size these will require special shipping consideration, the cost to be accrued separately.

This attached pair of red silk embroidered strips would have been worn as an accessory on the back of a man's hat so that they draped down the nobleman's back. There are mirror images of 2 pairs dragons on each side, embroidered with metal threads. Excellant condition and approx 30 inches in length.

Early Edo Myochin Signed Nimai Do with Nanban influence featuring gilded kusazuri and sode laced with blue chord dated Genwa 3 (1620). There are rows of Prominent rivets all about with nobori-kiri crests on the top of the munaita. Comes with an old wrapping cloth dyed with the same crest. The Hon-kozane Kusazuri are removable, attached to two leather belts suspended from iron tongs about the waist. The takahimo shoulder straps are wrapped in leather...

A very finely decorated jar or lantern depicting flowers and insects reserved against a delicately incised pink ground. The base carries the iron red seal mark of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795) but this item was probably made early in the 20th Century - durig the Guangxu or early Republic periods. Condition - very good...

Korean rice bale-form stoneware wine bottle with cylindrical body, short circular spout at the mid-section, and four raised feet covered overall in a golden olive-brown glaze. One end has the standard domed form while the opposite slightly concave end, upon on which the vessel was fired, is unglazed and has the characteristic sand grit residue adhering.
