The finest and rare one of Mingyao b/w bowl was ever found in Indonesia area. The exterior of this bowl is decorated with scrolling cloverleaf design. The interior center with lotus panels to be a form of medallion within double circle and dots, the wall cavetto with ruyi scrolls filled with emblem mark, diaper pattern to the mouth rim. The shape and decoration of the bowl is identical to a Yongle example, thus making it an obvious emulation of Yongle (enlargement 12)...

A nice and rare Cafe-Au Lait ground bowl, decorated outside with vividly gilt painted of four peony medallions among four lucky bats supporting each by chrysanthemum blossom, inside is plain and with gilt finished to rim. Base with Qianlong seal mark in underglazed-blue and possibly of the period. Condition with a hairline, further in perfect condition. Diameter: 17.7cm and High: 8cm.

A rectangular silver box rich in high relief of dancers in costume. The detailing of the human forms and the patterning on their costumes is finely done. The background of the dancers is done in open-work silver of a pattern of swirling leaves and tendrils. At the bottom of the box is a large hand-hammered mythical Asian chimera (Makara)...

A Chinese man would have worn this egg shaped wooden tobacco container hanging from his belt. Both front and back are decorated with metal studs and fitting attached with copper nails. The lid is hinged and held in place by a decorative pin which is pulled up to open.

An extremely rare form of b/w jar, finely potted in square lobed shape, decorated to each panel with a flower medallion among single cloud scroll to each corner. On the top side has a nice collaborate between ruyi and pomegranate pattern. Ming dynasty Zhengde period (1506-1521), this kind painted style motif also found many similar pattern in vessels to the case of ordered pieces from early 16th century by Portuguese market...

Description: A white-glazed tea caddy was rarely found with an original cap. Preserved in a very good condition, the capped jar was in plain form without any decoration. Firing effect was obviously revealed in the body clay. It is a fine piece for the storage of some fine tea or a decent vase-like jar on the shelf too. A pimpled toad looks to the sky exhaling a clouded spirit, a truly superb version of this theme in deep caramel bronze dating from the Meiji period. It is an interesting theme, the ugly creature elevated to the status of saint. Judging by color and quality, we attribute this as the work of Kanaya Gorosaburo (1836-1890), a bronze artist of Kyoto fond of this color and known for his superb modeling and detail. Description: An ancient stone piece was depicted finely as a Bodhisattva head. Obviously came from a standing or sitting torso, the head was broken off by natural cause or due to the religious chaos in the ancient time. An antique cast bronze waniguchi bell or gong, the type used to hang in front of places of prayer and under temple eaves dated 1710. Often these can be found hanging over saisen-bako where the bell is rung by clanging a dangling rope with wooden corbel against the bell to awaken the gods; coins are tossed and a prayer given. Anyone who has been to a Japanese Temple or Shrine may have noticed one. A much thinner cast than the later bell we are offering

A rare, large and beautifully carved scholar's item made of huanghuali and carved with flower vases and a censer as the center piece, with the original hardware.The outer frame could be huanghuali or huali. A rare good condition double guard form of wine ewer with a curved tapering spout and Chilong/Sea Dragon handle, decorated with splashed brown iron spotted on Qingpai glaze over a porcelain body, unglazed base flat, firing into pale orange. Yuan dynasty (1279-1368). Good condition excepted a glaze firing fault to upper side of the handle visible on last picture, no crack, no chips and free from any restoration as well. Height: 11 cm.

A Northern Song period 11th-12th century Fujian Dehua ware ewer with milky white glaze moulded with scrolls in linear style. Condition base cracks extended to body, chip to tip of the spout and kiln chips to mouth rim. Wide: 11cm and High: 7.6cm. Excavated in Borneo site. A blue & white saucer dish, decorated at the exterior with five flower medallions and underside with vividly painted of birds on tree. "Fu Qui Jia Zhi" seal mark on the base. Ming dynasty Jiajing period. Condition is perfect excepted one kiln flaw on the surface otherwise it's the quality one was ever found on Moluccas site, no chips, no any cracks and free from restoration. Diameter: 12 cm.

A rare example of celadon trumpet shape vase, decorated incised to the body with floral motif and lotus petals rising from foot rim, spiral form from shoulder to mouth rim. Yuan dynasty 13th-14th century Longquan ware. Condition with a slight large chip associated with D shape re-stuck, further in good condition. High: 23.6cm. A pair of mythical animals (mother and child) of a creamy jade color. It has small areas of natural brown, light orange and grey coloration and inclusions. The jade is beautifully carved and feels lovely to the touch. The curled tail of the smaller animal forms a round hole which enables a thin rope to be put through it. Absolutely endearing. A rare of celadon ground HU shaped vase, decorated to the shoulder with underglazed-blue of ruyi heads below encircled key-fret band, applied to the neck with lion-mask and ring handles, the center of body with a line diaper pattern among archaic dragons between plain celadon ground. Qianlong seal mark on the base and of the period. Condition is perfect with no any chip, no crack and free from restoration, only found minor glaze flaw to neck, otherwise is excellent. High: 34cm.

This Tibetan gau (aka prayer box) is actually a small shrine. When not being worn as an ornament during festivals, it would be kept in the prayer niche of the family home. The back of the box slides open. Frequently, a special prayer i.e. sutra pages would be placed inside. An unusual stone weight with a young boy riding a foo dog. The corners each have little foo dogs playing with their ball. The base has a key fret design. This is a very special weight and unique in it's design. It is my understanding that these weights were used in making paper. Size: W. 31.5 x 23cm. H. 19cm. Condition: No repairs or chips.

Description:

An old stone box was beautifully carved on the cover with a five-clawed swirling Dragon and with cloud pattern at the basin.
By a well rendered craftsmanship, the covered box was in a magnificent mood by its astonishing image.
Kept in perfect condition and darken patina, there’re only minor defects found at the whiskeys and at one of the corners of the cover.

Description: A boxwood ruler was preserved very well when edges were smoothened off due to long time of use. What interestingly found were picturesque motifs like plum flowers and magpies were carved on both surfaces along with the regular counting marks. Date: Qing Dynasty(late 19th century.) A finely painted of middle Ming Jiajing phase large bowl, decorated at the exterior with vividly drawing of four lions playing ball and the interior center with alike lion medallion under typically good blue of Jiajing wares. Description: A porcelain snuff bottle was beautifully painted on the surface with insect of grasshopper in the weeds. On the other side, a well-rhythmed poem was finely written to depict the picture. It was in perfect condition with original dipper on top. An inscription mark Qian-Long-Nien-Zi was at the bottom. Date: Qing Dynasty(19th century). Height: 7.9cm.

A finely potted and vividly painted of late Ming 17th century b/w cup, decorated to exterior with bird, floral spray and grasshopper, a beautifully Jindezhen Mingyao ware with very smoothly glaze surface like official ware products.
