Here is a breathtaking hand-made bronze Koro in the shape of a blossoming lotus in deep red patination dating from the late Edo to Meiji period (mid to late 19th century). Consisting of 30 individual pieces, each petal is uniquely incised with veins by the hammer and chisel of some long lost craftsman...

One similar piece appear on Christies 1984 auction cataloque in London, with high 11.5cm and wide 15.7cm. They also note the other only one recorded example in that times of this Double-Headed type appears to be illustrated by William Willets, 'Ceramic Art of Southeast Asia, 1971, no.85. which is subsequently illustrated, Strait Times Annual, 1981, pp, 57-58, and Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, Vietnamese Ceramics, 1982, no.103.

Unglazed foot and base. Original drain hole and plug. Late Qing dynasty (19th century) to possibly early Republican period. 13"H x 15 1/4" diameter. Weighs about 15 lbs. Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. Some soiling to the interior from use.

A set of two b/w wine cups, each decorated with chrysanthemum and inside the center with chrysanthemum head. Yuan dynasty 1279-1368. Condition is good, each with a chip and re-touched, no crack. Diameter: 8.3cm and 8cm.

A large and nice jun yao bowl of sky blue colour. It stands on a short recessed foot rin and then everted upwards towards a slightly straighten side and then towards the rim it folds slightly inwards. There is a slight colour variation between the actual bowl glaze and the photograph taken.

The is a rare, old, long Chinese lock necklace with coral beads and matching amber drops. The handmade upper chain leads to a lower strand of very small silver beads, with 4 pumpkin shaped coral beads alternating with 5 silver balls on each side. From each side of the beaded chain is a short chain ending with male and female ducks which represent a long and happy marriage. Recently excavated on South Sulawesi of Sawankhalok celadon dish or so-called Sisatchanalai wares. The dish with flattened rim and rounded lip, decorated with an incised chrysanthemum flower head in the center medallion and floral sprays on the cavetto. The exterior is plain, covered overall with a beautifully pale bluish-green celadon glaze and circular firing stand scar appear to the base. Sawankhalok ware 14th-15th century...

It is the one of the rare and outstanding Ming dynasty dish excavated on Halmahera island Indonesia, the interior of the dish with a turquoise glaze and exterior with a sapphire blue glaze. Presume as Ming dynasty 15th-16th century piece. Condition is good except minor flaked glaze to the rim, interior center adhered sands because buried for long times. Diameter: 14.5 cm and High: 2.5 cm.

Description: An exquisite bamboo carving depicted a smiling boy holding a basket which has fishes in it. In fantastic carving skill, the piece was added with more attraction by it's aged patina. Description: A decent wood carving of Guan-yin was from early Qing period. In elegant broad facial characteristics, the Guan-yin sits easily with flouring robe spreading on the floor when benign and holy atmosphere being fully yielded by the excellent craftsmanship. In quite good size, the piece was carved from one block of camphor wood, except being tenoned on the right hand which had been lost. The patina on the wood surface was old when almost all the paint had gone due to long time of age...

A blue & white jar with lid, decorated around the body with continuously Chrysanthemum scroll, all in very fine and strong cobalt-blue tone. Ming dynasty 15th century Zhengdong-Jingtai ware(1436-1456)known as Interregnum wares. Condition: there is a firing crack to the base, minor glaze light hairline to the lid and flake chip to the cover inner rim sides, further in good shaped with no any restoration. High maximum 9.3 cm

A lovely excavated blue & white small jar in globular form, decorated with floral sprays to the both sides below 'ruyi' pattern around the shoulder. Glaze is still very fine compare to the others excavation pieces, also condition is perfect, just unfortunately have a flake chip to the base and the cobalt-blue firing into slightly blur turn to be greenish tone. Ming dynasty late 15th to early 16th century ware. High: 6.2cm and body wide: 7 cm.

This old carpenter's detail handsaw was clearly home made by an experienced carpenter craftsman who took pride in his work. It is decorated with delicately carved swirls of clouds and has metal fittings for strength. It has the original blade which was sharpened to cut on both forward and back strokes and is still remarkably sharp. This saw was (according to my carpentry friend) was probably used for fine marquetry work. The saw measures 11" long. It is a rare find and a pleasure to own.

Description: An intriguing ivory carving in old patina was carved with a skeleton figure leaning to a skull. Half-squatting, the skeleton leaned to the skull by his or her right hand when protecting it with the left hand. With fantastic skill, the piece was carved in open work from one solid ivory block.
