A lacquered Buddha figure holding a bowl seated on a high lotus pedestal. This meditating Buddha has a very gentle and calming face. The open area in the back is missing its former relics.

Condition: The lacquer is worn due to its age but the patina is beautiful. There are traces of gilding on the lacquer.

Description: A Zitan brush pen was preserved rarely with original cap. In a simple and plain form and kept with old patina, the brush was in perfect condition except lost of brush hair which didn’t matter much to a rare piece. Date: Late Qing period(19th century), Length: 20 cm (including cap)

This Chinese ethnic minority hat was worn by child and is heavily laden with silver ornaments. The lower border of the top section of the hat has a band of stars. The traditional eight immortals with the god of longevity grace the front of the hat. And there are lots of bells and butterflies hanging from silver chains. Large 17 1/2"H lidded jar finely painted in the Kangxi style in sapphire blue on a white porcelain ground. The decoration features a pheasant on a rocky outcropping surrounded by flowering plants which extend around the circumference of the vase and up to the neck, where a second bird perches on a flowering branch. By excellent craftsmanship, the tray was unusually made by being carved from one solid block of wood, and unlike the tenoned pieces we’ve often seen. Description:

A black-glazed water coupe was decorated nicely on the surface with splashed marks.
In nice oval shape, it was in very good condition obtaining foggy incursions to the glaze. Another ware in similar glaze effect is in the documentation.

Unusual Chinese late Qing dynasty to possibly early Republic (late 19th to early 20th century) hardwood stand used to hold opium pipe dampers. A single drawer with brass pull is used for the storage of smoking accessories. The back is nicely carved with a bamboo motif. 13"L x 2"D x 3"H. Very good overall condition with some minor stains to the wood consistent with its age and use. This piece is from the private collection of American expatriates who lived in Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s...

Three Chinese late Qing dynasty to Republic period robin's egg (called lu Jun, or "furnace Jun") glazed porcelain scholar's desk articles including a hexagonal form water pot with an applied qilong climbing on the side (about 3" diameter by 2 1/8" high), a ribbon bound triple-gourd vase with three openings (4 1/2" high), and a rectangular brush holder in the form of a stove (2 3/8"L x 1 3/4"D x 1 3/4"H)...

Description:

A Yaozhou censer was in unique flatten form and was supported by five squeezed feet.
In characteristic greenish tint, the censer was carved with floral motifs on the surface.
It was done by sleek carving skills.
Underside, the kiln effects and the padding frits were preserved for verification.
Some similar pieces are found in the documentation.

Description: A green-glazed Longquan Meiping was mold in a decent size of 31.5cm in height.
Being decorated on the surface with flowing motifs of floral, this Meiping bottle was shaped with broad shoulder, narrowed neck and small mouth rim.
The bottle vase was stand firmly with the well shaped foot ring which was revealed with firing red tint in the unglazed body clay. On the surface minute pin-point incursions were happened within the immensely spread glaze bubbles.

Description:
A Yaozhou water dropper was presented in perfect condition.
The glaze condition was very good except some incursions had been happened to the rim of the venting hole and the beak-like mouth.
Amusingly found at the bottom, there were three padding clays were still adhered without being removed.
It was really rare to find an ancient porcelain ware which was solely for scholar use.
A similar piece but from Longquan site was documented.
