A boxwood root was intriguingly carved and hollowed into a charming brush pot.
Being penetrated as wall of holes for light going through, the scholar item was most favoured by literati for the natural mood.
It was reserved in very good condition by enduring old patina.
The under cover was an old restoration.

A well carved jade frog that can be used as a pendant. Actually is was worn on the belt.It has two holes under the chin that do not go all the through. It probably had some metal clip attached to it. Apparently caused by firing effects, the surface of the glaze was transformed to a mysterious image that was charming and different.

Description: A decent lotus-bud bowl from Jun kiln was in beautiful look. In a tint of the famous sky-blue glaze, the elegant bowl was shaped at the foot ring with regular wall. Developed with darkened colour which was caused by kiln firing, the unglazed foot ring was preserved with obvious burial earth. Light incursions of pinhead holes were found on the surface near the bottom. In the cavetto, the glaze was in milky-white blue when some residues were left for authentication...

Large 19th Century Chinese Export Rose Medallion, Blue and Gold Fitzhugh Bottle Vase

The vase is 14 inches tall, and 8.5 inches wide.

It is in good condition with no cracks, except a repair at the rim. It was a small chip that has been repaired. There is a slight color variation at that area but not noticeable. Please see the photo. There is also chip at the inside foot rim, and minor rubbing of gold (as seen in the photos)...
